Thanks to kappldav123 for this bottle. The beer starts sweetish-malty. Smooth, but malty-sweetish. Slightly bitter-dry. The aftertaste is smooth, malty-sweetish, a bit earthy dry. Hints of nuts. Interesting brew, but no Pils!

Thank you kappldav123 for this brew! The beer starts smooth and soft. Easy to drink, malty with caramel. Slightly roasted, sadly not too much - and I miss the typical liquorice-note that should be typical for Schwarzbier - especially from Eastern Germany. The aftertaste is smooth, malty, slightly dry, slightly bitter. Slightly earthy. Very nice beer!

1l bottle from a local getränkemarkt. Looks really good. Beer in the glass light brownish, nice head. Wonderful hoppy aroma. Starts nice malty-hoppy, flowery-spicy, hints of lemon. Reminds a little bit of an IPA. Finish with milder hoppy notes, well balanced. Unusual but really good kellerbier.

1l bottle bought at a local getränkemarkt. Looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice creamy head. Fine hoppy-spicy aroma. Starts strong but not alcoholic, intense malty-spicy, fine hoppy background. Well balanced. Quite drinkable for its strength. Spicy aftertaste. A good one!

1l bottle bought at a local Getränkemarkt. Looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, amber coloured, nice head. Wonderful hoppy aroma. Starts fine hoppy-grasy, light lemon notes, also some grapefruit. Grasy-hoppy finish, very well balanced. A really nice surprise!

75 cl bottle (8,5%) @ Timo A. Bottled 27.02.2014, BBE 20.07.2014
Aroma has apricot, hay and some grain. Flavour is somewhat sweet with apricot, peaches, grassy hops and some alcohol. A strong heller doppelbock with elements from golden ale. Hides the ABV well.

Aroma has fruity tones and apricot. Flavour has apricot, some fruits and hints of hay. Finishes with grassy hops. Not very German, feels like a British golden ale. And at this ABV it should be heller bock or imperial pils. Hides the ABV rather well.

1000ml bottle [Thanx Gunnar!]. Clear, orangey, deep golden to amber colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Strawy aroma with grassy-herbal-spicy touch, nuttily malty basis. Taste is malty, hints of green hazelnut, mildly hoppy overtones, slightly hoppier finish; soft palate, smooth carbonation. Rather untypical Pilsener with idiosyncratic nuttily malty note.

Bottle quite expensive, 15 Euro. But looks really, really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice small head. Starts intense hoppy, fine fruity like lemon, some sourish notes. Not too dry. Fine malty background. Finish still intense hoppy, grasy-sourish, but well balanced. Interesting beer - but too expensive.
