Ein mildes und einfach freundliches Bier Es hat einen hefigen Ton, der alle Aromen begleitet, aber nicht überdeckt. So findet man Mango, Zitrone und ein bisschen Ananas. Sehr schön ausgewogen und wirklich fein zu trinken am Gaumen.

getrunken Anfang 2014
Die Brauerin warb damals damit, dass sie die erste Frau Österreichs war, die selbst BIer braut(e) -oftmals mit ihrem Sohn zusammen. Ich weiß nicht, ob das Bier noch gebraut wird, aber es hat mir und meinem Kumpel wirklich gut geschmeckt. Es ist (na-no-na-net) recht bitter, aber gut ausgewogen. Der Hopfen hat wie das Bier selbst Charakter mit grasigen und zitronigen Noten. Sicher kein einfaches Bier, aber sehr fein-aromatisch, wenn man sich darauf einlässt.

Das Bruderator, oder auch Bruder Ator ist ein Doppelbock mit ordentlich TIefgang. Es hat schöne beerige Aromen, welche sich im Karamellbad recht wohl fühlen. Es ist in sich geschlossen und der (für mich) einzige Wehrmutstropfen ist, dass mir der Alkohol einfach zu intensiv ist. Nicht dass er die fruchtigen Noten unterdrückt, aber das ganze ist mir dadurch einfach ein bisschen zu hart.

Mein vorerst letztes Bier war das Stout. Ich muss aber sagen, dass mir andere Biere dier Brauerei besser gefallen haben. Es ist sehr urig und wirkt schon fest erdig. Das mag manche erfreuen, aber ein wirkliches Stout mit Kakaoe- und Schokonoten ist es nicht so.

Warum braucht(e) eine Brauerei, die die klassischen mitteleuropäischen Bierstile so gut beherrscht, ein IPA?...vermutlich weils jeder probiert und im Angebot hat. Es hat durchaus schöne Momente, aber aber als Gesamteindruck haut es mich nicht so um. Es hat seinen eigenen Ton, aber mir war es etweder zu einfach im Körper oder zu kompliziert im Abgang.

Bottled 500ml. -Dark amber coloured, medium sized off-white head, industrial filter coffee nose. Slight roasted malt, filter coffee and touch of tar with short bitterish finish. One-dimensional, very watery but drinkable.

Bottled 500ml. -Slight hazy golden coloured, small white head, yeasty nose with hint of fruits. Grainy, slight flowery hoppy and yeasty with notes of oranges. No trace of alcohol at all. Huge sediment at the bottom. Not bad.

0.5l bottle courtesy of and shared with ogivlado who got it at the microbrewery (thanks!) Poured a dark amber-brown body with a slightly off white thick head. Looks like a Berlin dunkel. Raw ground industrial coffee in the nose, dry and not bad. More of the same in the taste, but unfortunately the body is just too light to take the beer seriously. An interesting twist on the style, original for the area (and for Styria, that’s actually saying something!), but too watery for its own good.

0.5l bottle courtesy of and shared with ogivlado who got it at the microbrewery (thanks!) Poured a hazy golden body if I remember correctly (managed not to note the appearance). Sourish lemony, sweetish nose, light notes of, erm, cabbage, probably of yeast too. Grainy bready sweet taste, sourish hop, yeast and maybe too much of that. Ordinary, maybe a little too ordinary unfiltered lager.

Bottled 500ml. -Dark golden/orange coloured, medium sized creamy white head, mild peppery nose. Moderate malty, slight hoppy and gentle chili taste with pleasant and not so sharp chili finish. Very nice beer. Even my girlfriend liked it.
