Half pour inside the small taproom while my wife scopes out local art on the wall. Oily black pour with a thin cookie head. Sharp, dark coffee & burnt coconut oil nose. Heavy, dark, stiff coffee roast. Charred malt, bittersweet, Aspirin, coconut isn't heavy enough to make a dent in the concentrated coffee but the sweetness peeks out here & there. Lux, but too one-sided. Frothy, rich, heavy, decent carbonation despite all that. Okay.

First rate after they've been open a year. ...Oof. 8oz pour at the source. Clear, grape juice with a dense pink head as thick as egg whites. Grape skins, juicy, steel. Not a lot on the nose. Taste is more grape juice, less wine. Lemon, raw wheat, mild earth bitterness. Thin, crispy & filtered. Too simple but quaffable.
