Bottled(500ml). -Lemon yellow coloured, medium sized white head, dusty hoppy nose. Just few tiny little bubbles of carbonation. Weak malt presence, almost no hops and surprisingly apple notes. Sure, some small chunks of something indefined on the bottom.

I convinced ogivlado to get this while we were at that store in Germany while en route to Plzen... ah well... at least it’s somewhat rare. Poured a yellow body, just a bit gilded, with a medium sized white head that went away fast. Faint dusty, eggy hoppy nose. Eh. The taste is pretty much all a soft, somewhat quick appley note, like PEZ candy for a second. with some light lemony/acidic hop. Light hop bite. Hm. Chunks of... something on the bottom. Bottle conditioned? Not.

Bottled(500ml). -from some supermarket near German-Czech border.
Lemon yellow coloured, medium sized white head that went away fast, grainy lemony nose. Malty, boiled vegetables (cauliflower and carrot). Quite dry finish. Interesting beer, but nothing more than interesting.

Found in a somewhat bigger store in Germany en route to Plzen (I forgot the name of the... village?), purchased by and shared with ogivlado (thanks!) These guys are apparently the only brewery in Bayern that uses its own hops, malt and water. Cute. Did it help? Hmm... dunno. It poured a lemony darker yellow body with a medium sized thick white head that took its time to go away. The nose is dominated by a sticky grainy maltiness, with some lemon to indicate the presence of hops. A smooth, silky even mouthfeel that gets dry and unfortunately brings out a vegetable taste that falls somewhere between between beets and carrots. Just a little yoghrurtey. Odd, rustic, not the greatest beer around but kinda drinkable and interesting in a way. Not that it’s a good beer.

Aromatisch hopfiger Antrunk, die Süße wird durch einen milden Herbeton auf angenehmer Intensität gehalten. Eine leichte Grasigkeit, die dem Bier Natürlichkeit verleiht, kommt im Mittelteil neben dem gleich bleibenden Hopfenton durch. Mittelaromatisch, zum Ende milder werdend. Hier noch leicht hopfig, die Akzente liegen eher auf der verbliebenen leichten Grasigkeit. Vielleicht etwas mild. Test vom 12.8.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,10,11,8,10,9 - 9,25

Saurer Antrunk der eher an eine milde Berliner Weisse als an ein Weizen erinnert. Recht pricklend, im Mittelteil weiter sauer, zudem wenig malzig und leicht herb, es wirkt tatsächlich einigermaßen ausgewogen. Pricklend säuerlich-wässriger Abgang, etwas herb. Mir schmeckt das Bier, aber ein typisches Weizen sollte man nicht erwarten. Selbst für ein außergewöhnliches Weizen ist es noch zu eigen. Wirklich ein Weizen? (bottle) Clear, golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Discreet aroma: slightly sweet strawy malty, minimal bready nose with shy grassy and herbal hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Strawy malty taste with a touch of biscuits; medium-dry and a bit sticky malt-accented finish with a low level of hoppy bitterness. Mediocre Helles (06.07.08).

bottle, bought at the brewery. Clear pale yellow, large head. Somehow strange aroma. Malty and grainy. Medium-bodied with a malty background and a nice hop profile. Mild but very pleasant with the typical house character.

Hopfiger, aber ziemlich milder Antrunk. Etwas sauer, der Hopfen bleibt bis in den Mittelteil auf gleichem Level, nimmt dann aber ab und hinterläst ein getreidiges und wässriges Gerüst. Hinten herum malzig, allerdings auf dem gleichen milden Niveau wie der Rest des Bieres. Zu mild. Test vom 17.11.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,7,8,4,7,5 - 6,20

Süßer Malzantrunk mit etwas wässriger Note. Diese setzt sich dann auch im Mittelteil fest, nur hintergründig ist ein erdiger Malzton verwässert erkennbar. Etwas getreidger Nachgeschmack, erdig, ein Metallton kann sich festsetzen. Das afänglich süße Aroma ist nun weitestgehend verschwunden. Test vom 17.11.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,6,7,5,11,6 - 6,75
