Deep dark brown coloured body with a fairly nice, three centimetre tall light brown head that stays afloat nicely, all above the 80 per cent opaque body. Aroma of roasted malt, molasses, a dash of oats and a good bit of vanilla and sugars, really noticeable near the end of the nose. Medium-bodied; Fairly thinnish malt quality shows at first with some oatmeal, but a really noticeable nutty and earthy note that hits harder, but also shows a slight briney and rustic quality, but not really and not in terms of body. Aftertaste shows some caramelised sugars with a lot of breadiness and yeast qualities at the end, but some walnuts and cashews (very mild ones) hit towards the end with a crisp sweetness from the sugars and a relatively thinnish malt quality from the roasted malts. Overall, a decent beer, but a bit too thin and underwhelming to be a great beer - it hits nicely, but the roasted malts don't provide enough body, there is an underwhelming level of sugars and the brine really is pretty much nonexistent here, in which it should dominate. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in San Francisco (SoMa), California on 08-March-2022 for US$3,99 sampled in my hotel room here in Vacaville, California on 10-March-2022.

Draught at Harry’s Hofbrau. Pours turbid light orange-gold with full and sustained white head. Moderate tropics on the aroma standout more in the flavor, with slight English biscuit malt in support.

On tap twice - once at The Cooler in San Leandro and once at Gourmet Haus in Redwood City. You should really jack my score up not less than 0.2 or 0.3 b/c each time I had this, it was next to Pliny the Younger. Pliny hides the alcohol so much that this tastes like the traditional west coast malt bomb with bitterness and hops....but with the malt sticking in throughout because of the malt bill to create the sugars. But I had a bigger pour the second time and here's the thing...this is a great beer!

First rating of the beer! Can purchased at Whole Food to tulip. What a wonderful collection of brewers to collaborate with! Pours slushy honeycomb with a massive, pristine white head that lingers during the entire pour. Head is chunky with all different sizes of bubbles. Aroma is dank, grapefruit, tropical fruits, weed and grass. Flavor follows suit with week and citrus showing most prominently. All around a really nice beer to celebrate 10 years of making great beer!
