Tap @Brewpub. Pours opaque black with a medium tan head and nice lacing. Aroma is the classic coffee, dark roasted malt, and a touch of tobacco. Flavor is about the same, medium sweet and lightly coffee bitter. Light bodied for the style, but otherwise a nice beer. Maybe I am a sucker for oatmeal stouts, but I liked it. :)

Tap @Brewpub. Pours hazy medium amber, leaning toward chestnut, with a small off-white head and nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is caramel, toffee, and light spices. Flavor is about the same plus light smokey notes. Lightly sweet with little bitterness apparent.

Tap @Brewpub. Replaces the former "IPA," and I have to believe it is a large step up, cause this is a good beer! Pours clear amber with a small white head and great lacing on the glass. Aroma hits the notes of grapefruit and pine, with a significant tropical fruit presence as well (mango?). Flavor is the same, with the passionfruit notes that I sometimes get from fresh Simcoe. Lightly sweet, light to medium bitter with a medium bitter finish. No trace of the ABV. Medium bodied and creamy in the mouth. Quite a nice offering.

Tap @Brewpub. Pours hazy light golden with a small white head and good lacing. This beer smells like slightly artificial apricot, perhaps a touch of wheat, but not much room for anything else. Flavor is about the same, medium sweet and no bitterness to be found. Light bodied. I can see this as a gateway beer for the Zima crowd, but not much going for it otherwise.

Bottle and Tap. Pours clear amber with a small white head that dissipates with nice lacing. Aroma is faint spruce, pine and caramel. Citrus notes apparent on tap only. Flavor is the same (much fresher and more citrusy on tap). Light sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body.

Bottle and Tap. Both pour golden pale amber with a small white head. Bottle leaves nice lacing, tap not so much. Bottle has an initial aroma of urine plus wheat, with the urine notes fading in time. Tap is more wheat and citrus. Flavor in both cases is lightly sweet wheat, pretty bland and boring. Body is light. Meh. Much better beer on tap at the brewpub if you are lucky enough to be there. This review reflects bottle and tap in Bear Valley.
