I believe I’ve had a golden stout prior must not of been tagged. Cloudy muddled gold and some head. Nose is coffee through and through. Tastes of lactose, coffee, golden Oreos, cereal sour malt. Creamy mouthfeel.

Can pour from Valley Beverage. Hazy gold-light brown with nice sparkle, ephemeral fizzy cap of head and no lacing. Aroma is strong lactose, coffee, hint of coconut that increases as it warms. Taste is strong lactose, coffee, background lime, vague coconut in finish. Smooth, thin, frothy texture, average carbonation, lime acidity felt throughout, finish as taste. I've always liked this style and the base is pretty strong but lime and coconut are fairly weak.

Draft pour pint at Monkey King, Ontario. Clean and clear golden appearance. Medium loose foam head. Quite the bitter bite here. Big grapefruit like notes, with rind bitterness, and a strong and bold, though balanced grapefruit hop and malt finish. Aggressive west coast IPA. Somewhat boozy linger. Pretty good overall.

(Can. Thanks to Håkan) Hazy golden colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of grapefruit, passion-fruit, mango, peaches, grass and resin. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, grapefruit, lemon, mandarin, peaches, mango, passion-fruit, resin, pine needles, white bread and a generous citric/resiny bitterness in a finish with a boozy touch. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Rich, hoppy and really tasty. Great beer!

OC Local, 1st ever Beer Festival; Sunday 16th July 2023. 100ml pours. On-tap, now calling it a Cold IPA (thought that style name had left us), anyway it's golden bodied with a mini-haze, on top a white crown. Floral nose, citrusy flavour, easy drinking.

473ml can. Opalescent, amber colour with average, frothy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Piney, resinous, floral and slightly citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, pale and caramel malty background, hints of orange peel, a touch of honey. Taste is crisp, bitter hoppy, resinous, piney, floral and slightly citrusy fruity hoppy, as well as sweet-ish, pale and caramel malty, hints of orange peel, a touch of candied orange peel, some pineapple and lemon, a touch of honey and liquorice; lingering, bitter hoppy finish.
