Sampled from the tap at ABR 2016. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of earthy grass, light pine and a grain backbone. Flavor has lots of grass notes with some straw, a bit of grain and a touch of pine bitterness.

Very impressed with this brewery so far. This beer pours a dark, brown-black, with good-sized, lasting tan head. Aroma of coffee and licorice, some roasted grain. Flavor has coffee, licorice, chocolate, roasted grain. Very nice stout.

Very nice. Pours a hazy neon yellow, with good-sized, lasting head. Aroma is a bit muted, but has lots of citrus and hops. Flavor has some grapefruit, some peach, a touch of onion, and a ton of pine/spruce hop bite, and a bitter finish. One of the better Minnesota IPAs I’ve come across.

Very impressed by this, the first beer I’ve tried by Lupulin. Pours a darkish black, with just a touch of red. Head is reddish-tan. Aroma is marked by raspberry, chocolate, coffee, and roasted grain. Flavor is a nice mix of raspberry, chocolate, coffee, some leather, malt sweetness, and roasted grain. Nothing is overdone, the fruit isn’t sweet to the point of cloying. Everything is just right and this is a very tasty porter.

ABR 2016. Spiced autumn ale. Amber color. Good head. It is very sweet, not getting rum specifically, some oak dryness that comes through most prominently in the aftertaste. Good beer that might snow more complexity with a larger sample.

Black beer. Big hop aroma with roasted malt. Interesting and unusual flavor. Dry hops and very dry, dark, heavy roast which gives some coffee character. Ashes. Dry, bitter finish of malt and hops.

Red color. Lots of oak and vanilla in the aroma. Railtoad and tar in the aroma, oddly. Some oak, vanilla, and dry, bitter hops. A little citrus, and tannins. Surprising complexity. 9%.60 ibu.

At Lupulin. Red color, not gold at all and I wonder if they changed the recipe. Typical for red ales, this is dry with malt. Less typical are the hops, which are prominent in this beer. Lightly aromatic and floral. Solid beer.

At the brewery. Copper color. Alcohol flavor, some yeast and a little spice. Alcohol in the flavor and aroma.

Bottle shared by Tom, thanks! Pours black with a tan head that dissipates quickly and completely. Aroma has a nice raspberry note with a bit of dark grains and some earthy roasted malts. Flavor has earthy chocolate and earthy roasted malts with a growing raspberry note.
