Roasty, slightly chocolately, dark malty aroma, hints of coffee, some dry cocoa, a touch of dark caramel, grainy hints of pumpernickel, ashy overtones. Taste is roasty, dark malty and resinous, woody hoppy, hints of coffee, dark chocolate, mastic, a subtle, minimally sweet touch of dark caramel; minimally ashy finish. Oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally greasy and cloying, simultaneously minimally dry, metallic-repellent palate, fine, soft carbonation. Seemingly light, not overly complex, nice resinous flavours - pleasant.

Pint can from Festival Northland, 1/1/23. Hazy orange, thin beige head, average retention. Aroma of grapefruit, dank. Taste is grapefruit, melon, dank, lemon, resin, stone fruit. Strong bitterness, well balanced. Complex. Nice.
