Undated can (2026), drunk 7/19/26.
I don't know if it's just all the acid in the adjuncts but, while it certainly still smells malty and rich, it doesn't come off cloying/excessively sugary, which is certainly the concern here. Dark chocolate, earthiness, cinnamon and such all work against the richness of the fudge-caramel maltiness. Lots of sotolon, but no alcohol, thankfully.
Oh wow, that's unexpected...it's not too sweet by a longshot, and is actually surprisingly approachable in body, too. Not just a syrupy-gooey mess. Low carbonation and a medium body with plentiful acidity keep it decidedly drinkable, while you are pressed by flavor from all angles. Not boozey either. Lots of cocoa lingering alongside fruity coffee, but tasteful cinnamon that could have easily tipped it too dry/thin had it not been so. Overall, still a bit brutish but it's an imperial pastry stout with Decadent in the name, so it's hard to be mad about that. Honestly, it's properly attenuated and not boozey so that immediately puts it ahead of like 95% of the pastry stouts out there. And if you're in the mood for decadent, then all the better.

Peach, grapefruit, grains of paradise, and butterscotch. Sweet and juicy and a bit phenolic. Lightly bitter. Medium to heavy body, sticky, and hard. Quite tasty.

Draught @ First Draft, Chicago IL. Extremely hazy dark yellow like orange juice, faint citrus peel aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter to bitter citrus peel taste with alcohol undertones, bit of pineapple, thin body, long finish with some alcohol aftertaste. A bit boozy but nice.

Chocolatey fireball. Not subtle but relatively balanced…. The fireball character is predominant but there’s a decent amount of rich stout there as well.
