Cask at Shrewsbury Arms, Stafford. Pours golden yellow with a medium sized foamy almost white head and good lacing. The aroma has malts, corn and lime marmalade. In the mouth it is sweet and juicy to start with but with some underlying bitterness which gradually increases to become dominant. Flavour has floral hops, malts and biscuits with citrus and hints of mango coming through later. Bitterness lasts into the slightly sticky finish. This is decent.

Pint, hand pulled in the Salopian Star on 5th February 2026. Very dark, almost black in fact, beige crown on top. Malty front, hoppy centre, dry feel, especially in the finish. Decent all round.

Cask at CPK, Pimlico on 14th January 2026. Crystal clear gold with shallow off-white foam and full lacing. Zesty citrus aroma. Tangy citrus and berries in-mouth and a finish of harmoniously balanced tangy fruits and a return of peel. Medium bodied with a crisp mouthfeel.
