Description

Bottle from Der Treffpunkt, Nurnberg HBF. Deep gold colour with a white head. Sweet aroma that was more butter than caramel. Flavour was buttery too before a hoppy finish. Very drinkable. 3.2. Second bottle tried 3/11/07. This wasn’t as good as the sweetness was replaced by a strange baked bean-like aroma. Possibly a bad bottle? 2.8

Bottle, 4.9%. Citric veg aroma. Clear golden colour, small white head. The flavour is also citric, a bit sweet and with some mash notes. Not quite clean, but OK.

(bottle) Clear, deep golden colour with a foamy, slightly off-white medium head. Light-sweet toast-malty aroma with shy notes of honey and caramel and a whiff of herbal hops. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium body with a smooth carbonation. Soft malty, toasty taste, slightly grainy with shy notes of honey; medium-dry, malt-accented and slightly bitter finish. Pretty rounded and likable.

(bottle) Clear, golden to light amber colour with a short frothy white layer. Sweet malty nose with cereal-like elements, honey and a touch of caramel. Sweetish flavour, medium body, smooth carbonation. Malty with faint notes of caramel; unspectacular sweetbitter finish. Unimpressive Bock.
