Tridentine Brewing
Client Brewer in Herschel, Illinois, United States 🇺🇸
The name "Tridentine" (a reference the Catholic Traditional Latin Mass), along with the motto "Braciare ad majorem Dei gloriam," meaning "Brewing beer for the greater glory of God," reflects our values. With each brew, we try to focus on what is important to us - faith, family, and country, while celebrating the long-held traditions we cherish.

Jeff was taught the art of homebrewing by his father-in-law, Ken Solecki, who shared his family's long standing homebrewing tradition, along with his deep devotion to the Catholic faith and love of this beautiful country, which he fought for in World War II. We try to instill those same values, and his passion, in our brand as we carry on the brewing tradition.

We began crafting beers in our kitchen, before finally upgrading to a dedicated home brewery in 2019. Over the last decade we have worked on perfecting our craft and recipes, eagerly sharing each new creation with the family and friends we hold dear.
While that has been a journey, in and of itself, we are excited to embark on our next adventure as we expand our operation outside of our home brewery.

Thank you all for your support and incredible patience.
We hope that you now enjoy our beers with your friends and family!

Aromas are citrus, malt and straw. Flavors are similar to nose and on the sweet side. Decent body and carbonation with some good bitter in the finish.

Aromas are malt and wet grain. Flavors are similar to nose, with good balance between bitter, sweet and carbonation. Body is good and finish follows flavors. Definitely drinkable but nothing special.

12 ounce can from Festival Northland, 6/23/25. Oh great, an outwardly Catholic brewery. Will this beer jettison me straight to hell? Oh well. All the cool people are there anyway. Very dark brown, large tan head, good retention. Aroma of roast and chocolate. Taste is roast, chocolate, nuts. Thin for style. Decent balance. Some skill here but still seems like a gimmick. New brewery! Brewery #2579, USA #1975, Illinois #92.
