Description
The first record of the inn and brewery “Zum goldenen Engel” in Crailsheim from 1738 reads “annual production volume 150 buckets.” In 1877 George Fachs becomes the new owner of the brewery. The Fachs family still owns - now in the fifth generation - the brewery. In 1984 Engel becomes the first German brewery to bottle Radler. Since the turn of the millennium, Engel-Biermanufaktur has developed into a specialty brewery that regularly receives awards for its beers.

Bottle. Cherry, molasses malt and hay aroma. Cloudy dark brown color with nice off-white head. Chocolate-caramel malt and hay flavor. Great body. An excellent beer - great mixture of Dunkel and Kellerbier characteristics.

Bottle. Berry and hay malt aroma. Hazy golden yellow color with nice white head. Mildly sweet hay malt flavor. Nice body. Very good Kellerbier.

Bottle 500ml.Clear medium orange yellow color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, sweet malt, cardboard. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110218]
