Gift, pounder can from the NH daughter. Pours a slight haze on pale. Nose is somewhat fresh mild cream corn, typical macro lager. First taste tho, is not typical pale lager, it is much more than a pale lager and not necessarily on the good side. The first impression is that it's quite astringent, bordering on phenolic; you know, that telltale sign we may have inexperienced brewer here? Yes, a little rude and the astringent uncivilized bite seems to really set in during the middle. After each slug, that piercing negative attribute nellie pokes her head into the back of the throat. Whew. Gets even more difficult near the end. To say this a simple American pale lager may be misleading, let's say its more into the irrational international or a phenolic IPL style. Yes, was hoping for an enjoyable civilized well mannered macro style merikan pale lager, but this stuff simply needs some manners. Its heavy on the rude ass astringent bite, maybe I just got a bad can? Not sure. Typical macro pale lager lovers will not appreciate the surprising bitter attitude of this discourteous brew, Whew.

Brew Export Advent Calendar. Aroma combines stone fruit with citrus andcherbs. Underlying earthiness. Sweet creaminess. Hazy neon orange. Thick foamy white head. Tangy citrus. Juicy syrupy fruit. Herbal, onion edge. Bitterness and sweetness parley. Medium-heavy bodied. Oily. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long somewhat dry and slightly astringent finish.

8 oz draft. Flavor shows a good amount of citrus with a nice bread malt base. Hints of urban pine. Also shows a juicy citrus texture. Well made without a doubt.

8 oz. Draft. Mild berry with oak. Flavor follows with a hint of apricot. Oak linger in the finish with a mild sour finale. Real good!
