Julia’s in Queens: pours copper with a white head. Aroma is pine, pight citrus, resin, and rye. Taste is rye and bitterness. Nice hop character. Good stuff.

Clear dark brown beer, small irregular beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, caramel, roasted, bit nutty, yeast, bread, some cocoa powder. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: cocoa powder, bit sweet, dried fruits, caramel, bitter hops. Aftertaste: malty, somewhat bready, mocha, caramel, hoppy touch.

Clear orange beer, small creamy yellowish head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: fruity, sweet malts, some caramel, honey, ripe fruits, pineapple, mango. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter start, malty, caramel, resinous, some citrus, peach, ripe fruits. Aftertaste: pretty bitter, caramel malts, grassy touch, very resinous and bitter, dry, grapefruit.

Draught @ Taproom No307. Inky black with small foamy beige head, sweet toffee aroma, low carbonation, sweetish coffee taste, thin body, long espresso finish. Mellow and sweet.

Keg at the Blind Tiger - NYC. Pours cloudy gold with a small, foamy white head. Old pine in the nose, some ripe orange, grainy bread. Medium sweet flavor with lots of lightly toasted grainy malts, graham crackers, oily pine, orange rind. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly resinous in the finish, with further grainy malts, oily hops, pine, rind. Pretty ho hum overall.

Pours hazy gold into a shaker. Soapy head with medium retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Pepper and tropical fruit aromas. Dry with pumpernickel and resin upfront turning to sweet caramel before the lasting pepper finish.
