Description

A hazy yellow beer with a huge white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and spices - coriander standing out. The flavor is malty and again with quite a nice spice presence.

(Bottle 33 cl) Oooh, mustard beers - ain’t that just a grand invention? Blond, slightly hazy with a huge head and a high carbonation. To be honest, I do not sense any mustard here. This is just anothe blond ale - although a decent one. 300901

(Bottle 33 cl) Very yellow beer, slightly hazy with a decent head. Soft and slightly perfumy with a pronounced, hoppy finish. Very classical wallonian "Blonde" at their best. 180501

(Bottle 33 cl) The Artisans/Mibrana version of a Blonde is a surprisingly light ale. Not nearly as powerful and potent as you most often find in this style. Pale, yellow colour with huge amounts of floating impurities and a very dense and very white head. Pleasantly dry with a subdued bitterness and only a weak hint of sweetness. Unfortunately that’s about it - not really any larger palette of flavours. Overly carbonated. 240999

(Bottle 33 cl) I’ve had lots of fruit beers before, but I don’t really recall the combination of peach and apricot. The lovely scent of fresh fruit hits you as soon as the cap is removed. Very yellow golden with an impressive and tall head. Huge yeasty floaties. Pronounced flavours of sweet, ripe peaches. Wonder what the base beer is for this, perhaps the same brewery’s "La Marlagne Blanche" - it has some of the same dry freshness. But I can’t tell for sure if this is a witbier. 130899

(Bottle 33 cl) "Brunes" are usually dark, malty and rather sweet. In this case the malt is very present, but it’s a slightly smoked whisky-like malt. But otherwise this is very different. This is only dark golden with a fine, dense head and lots of yeasty sediment. Very dry, more dry than bitter, but stil fresh with an almost lactic edge. Very uncharacteristic and unique. 140799 As "Aldegonde Bière Speciale Brune" 6/3/6/3/12=3 100102

(Bottle 33 cl) Hazy, pale, yellow beer with an almost clinically white head and loads of impurities. Pronounced citrusy flavours an a very evident - and not entirely pleasant - lactic touch. Actually somewhere close to a Berliner weisse in it’s pure form. I prefer the softer, more refined wtbiers. 140799

(Bottle 33 cl) Appears almost grey-orange and very hazy. Lots of yeast-sediment, which - quite unusually - is found in the bottle’s neck. Even though this beer has been standing up for quite a long time. Pours brutally bubbly, but the little bit of head disappears quickly without a trace. Quite soft and somewhat malty with a light sourness. Fresh and quite unusual. 140103

(Bottle 33 cl) Orangey golden almost amber coloured beer. Slightly hazy. Beautiful, thick head. Very, very spicy and sophisticated beer. Quite dry and actually remarkably sour. There is a bit of sweetness but it’s well hidden. Very carbonated, very fresh. 181202

Brown color; beautiful creamy head. Quite nice malty aroma, and the effect of the Belgian yeast. Very good malty taste; maybe just a too high metallic mouthfeel at the end. A lot of caramel, a hint of spices. High ending bitterness. Very good.
