330 ml bottle. Pours a bright copper color with full head. Aromas of candied fruit, rum, spicy Belgian yeast and toasted malts. Flavors of oak, boozy rum, fruity esters and toasted malts. Boozy but interesting, different and tasty.

Bottle. Color: Hazy brown, dense beige head. Aroma: Fruity Armagnac. Taste: Smooth mouthfeel, fruity Armagnac (grape), some almond, nice hoppy background. Boozy hints. Moderate sweet, over moderate to medium bitterness. Over medium body, below average carbonation.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, mahogany colour with weak ruby shimmer and average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Fruity and grassy, hoppy aroma, toasty and minimally nutty, malty background, a touch of salmiac, chestnut. Taste is bitter, grassy hoppy and nutty, toasty, dark malty, subtle residual sweetness, hints of salmiac, chestnut.
Oily-watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously slightly dry palate, medium, dense, mildly prickly carbonation.
Rather monotonous, not the most flattering flavours - meh!

I have a 33 cl bottle acquired from Smaakhuis earlier in the year. For this tasting I brought out the Teku glass, bottle is opened and I proceed. The appearance is a semi-hazy dull gold liquid completed by a big head of fluffy white foam that will leave some lacing I think. I take a drink. Dried apricots, grain, yeast, a touch of booze, malt, leather and a small nectarine sweetness. A substantial feeling while tasting this beer. I appreciate tripels a lot and this is a good one, really good.

Kolor ciemny brązowy, nieco rubinowy z wyraźnym zmętnieniem. Piana beżowa, średnio wysoka, nietrwała. Topnieje do cienkiego pierścienia i większej wysepki na powierzchni płynu. Pozostawia delikatne "rysunki".
Aromat średnio intensywny, słodowy, chlebowy, dalej owocowy (suszona śliwka), z nutami marmolady. Aromatu rumu niestety brak, szkoda.
Dopiero z czasem, po lekkim ogrzaniu płynu, w aromacie pojawiają się akcenty rumowe i ziołowe.
Smak to składowa nut słodkich (słodowych), kwaskowych (o charakterze owocowym) i goryczkowych, te mogą kojarzyć się z rumem. Tutaj zachowany jest balans.
Alkohol generalnie, dobrze ukryty. Wysycenie niskie w górę. Ciało wysokie. Tekstura gładka. Posmak średnio długi, goryczkowy i lekko kwaskowy.
