Nice orange with a white head. Full of grapefruit in aroma and flavor. Citrus , resiny hops, light floral, apricot, and the lightest of malts. Powerful bitterness on the end. Really liked this one.

22 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear orange-amber color with a large offwhite head. Good head retention and excellent lacing. Aroma of sticky resiny hops with some citrus and a well balanced caramel malt backbone. The taste is bitter resiny hops, citrus, apricot and melon, with caramel in the background. Medium bodied with quite a bit of hop bitterness that lingers. Good beer. This brewery has barely been in Virginia a week and they’re already impressing me a great deal.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Chevy Chase, 2/26/10

Aroma: Mostly citrus hops (orange, grapefruit), some caramel notes
Appearance: Slightly unclear orange color, large, frothy white head, leaves a good amount of lace
Flavor: Taste is moderately sweet, citrus hops, caramel malts, with a quite dry finish
Palate: Light-medium body, a little bit on the creamy side, mildly chewy, average (plus) carbonation
Overall Impression: This is a pretty solid IPA. Rather on the dry side, but I'm good with that. It has a decent feel to it, and it works pretty well. Solid stuff. Slight metallic feel, but doesn't take much away from it. Anyway, if you enjoy a citrus hop IPA with a strongly dry flavor, then this one is a pretty good idea.

Pours deep copper with gold edges and thin off white head. The aroma is spices, apple, mild pumpkin spice and faint pumpkin flavored Kool – Aid. The taste is pumpkin spiciness followed by mild spiced apple and a smooth faint note of sweet maltiness as well as a touch of roasted malts.

Got this on tap at Sunset Grille. Beer menu lied to me with promise that it was going to have 6.8 percent alcohol. Bastards. Anyway, it looks perfectly nice, with a proper copper/amber body and a nice off-white head, especially when poured into one of those tulip glasses that they like serving beers in. You get a bunch of bready malts in the nose along with some mild hopping. Taste is pretty well-balanced, making for a proper session ale. Moderate enough grassy hops with bready malts in taste obviously as well. Also got some citrus in there as well, but that is not one of the main flavors it seems.
