12oz bottle split with Anndiesel. Fitlered brown-caramel color, thin steady off-white head. Hemp oily schwag aroma, some resinous hops. A little thin bodied for all the sweetness and flavor going on. Pleasant chocolate tinged aftertaste. A pretty decent Brown Ale in some respects, I just don’t think the hemp seed is doing it any favors, just adding some oily burnt seed notes. Not one I’d revisit.

Sample at Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay. Pours a dark ruby-brown color with a medium light beige head that diminishes steadily. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of caramel and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of caramel malt, cocoa and slight hops. The finish is short with an earthy malt aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear dark brown with a ruby hue. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, caramel, toffee, dark fermented fruits and a little plum. Taste is light bitter. Coffee and caramel with some herbal hops and dark fruits. Medium bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. There is some sort of odd taste that I can’t quite place. The only thing I can think of would be the hemp seeds. Try it if you find it.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Argonaut Denver. I’ve been looking forward to trying this for quite a while. Pours a midnight black appearance with a dark brown head. Rich chocolate, caramel, a fit fruity (grape/plum), big coffee aroma. Thick dark chocolate bar, roasty and fresh coffee, big vanilla, a bit boozy whiskey, moderately fruity flavor with a somewhat boozy finish. Tastes excellent but it is a bit strong on the finish.

Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks kerenmk. Clear brown with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate with nuts and a bit of toastiness. Sweet malty flavor with nuts, caramel, a bit of toastiness, a bit of chocolate, some herbal notes and a bit of metal hints. Medium-bodied. So-so

Bottled@Chriso "Donkey Dork Lord" pre-gbbf shindig 2011. I think this rating might take the price for me in hard encryption on my rating. More or less pitch black colour with a small beigeish brown head that vanishes quickly. Aroma is roast, alcohol, coffee and liquorice. Flavour is coffee and roast. Big and beautiful imperial stout. (the last phrase written in capitals...)

Bottle from Community Food Co-op - N Forest St, Bellingham, WA
Amber color, clear. Excellent aroma: fruity hops, jasmine flowers; refreshing. Dry and lean mouthfeel, with a dry malt and toffee flavor; very strong bitterness, lean resins.
Quite fresh, and a very pleasant lean IPA.

12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a dark burnt orange with about a finger of thick white head. Aroma of grapefruit, citrus and pine with a little caramel backbone. Taste is light bitter. Floral and grassy with a hint of pine. Light bodied with a thin yet slick texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, very good. I would gladly drink it again.

Bottle. Slightly hazy deep golden-copper color, a bit rusty, with a quickly-dissipating white head. Aroma of floral hops with piney hints, a bit stale, with some malt, slightly caramelly. Flavor has some sweet maltiness, a bit of caramel, and some floral and slightly citric hops leading to a nice bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Decent.
