The appearance was a fairly dark brown color with a semi-foamy off white little head. Not much lace, somewhat stringy.
The aroma had some cocoa powder, dried nuts, light earthiness and a subtle leafy dryness.
The flavor was moderately sweet pulling some faint leather-like sweet tones in and sliding over my tastebuds in a decent way. Not much aftertaste but had a little bit of a sly earthy to leather to cocoa powder finish.
The palate was about medium bodied with a sessionability that made me re-think what that term really meant. I mean, well, the dryness and the leather in this one was somewhat hard to really to want to pound this one. And I would think given the ABV that this one would be fairly crushable.
Overall, as a brown ale fan, I’m not entirely sure this is a brown ale that I can have all of the time. Maybe.....

The appearance was a golden yellow color with a slight transparency to it. Some carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. Slight cap of a little white head, just slid off super quick.
The aroma didn’t have much, some honey, light lemon, maybe some grassy hops.
The flavor was all of the way sweet. The aftertaste was sweet. The finish was sticky sweet.
The palate was light bodied with a pretty good sessionability about it. I will give this beer that much. ABV matches it’s ability to be crushed on the hot days.
And I’d have it again basically for that. And maybe with some food too.

Is there such a thing as an Imperial Irish red? Hell if I know, but given the ABV on this beast, I poured this into a tulip.
The appearance was a rich burnt dark copper almost red color with a finger’s worth of semi-tan foamy head that glistened and slid off at a decent pace. Slim white ringy lace.
The aroma was loaded with some dark toast not burnt, toffee, cocoa powder and some earthiness strapping down some citrusy crisp bittersweet hops. Light tropical fruits on the back end. Light resin.
The flavor was malty dry sweet with the hop discipline skating upon the outskirts of these previously mentioned malt tones and to try and combine. Did it? Somewhat. Aftertaste faced the full effects of all of those aromas and seemed to meld into the finish.
The palate was about medium bodied shaving off the sweetness by pummeling my tongue a bit more than expected with the hop harshness. A bit more than expected. Carbonation felt good.
Overall, this would be a prime example of an American Strong ale with the hops abrasiveness coming across as it did. But I see it labeled an Irish ale so I’ll just say thanks for the Irish ale tick to whoever entered it in here.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a soft burnt caramel color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that slid off fairly quick. Light lace.
The aroma had some sweet onion danky portions, light sweet grass, some floral sweetness and a light malt backbone.
The flavor blended fairly nice between the danky portions and the floral hop tones. Malty sweetness lends a hand of a nice balance to the hop components. Light aftertaste of the malts and the danky sweet hops. Came through fairly clean. Finish was slightly sticky, but acceptable along with the onion sweet hops.
The palate was about medium bodied with a pretty good sipping quality. ABV was noticeable. Though I didn’t smell or taste it, the booziness was felt. Carbonation felt good.
Overall, pretty good DIPA for the most part. Thanks for the can, Henry.

Keg at Coopers - NYC. Pours.l clear gold with a creamy, white head. Dank and ripe, juicy fruits, tropical stuff. Medium to big sweet flavour, low bitterness, melon, mango, papaya and pine. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish, a little gory, lots of tropical fruits, resinous pine. Sweet and a bit heavy, but fun.

Can. Hazy dark orange with small foamy white head, faint mango aroma, medium carbonation, medium bitter mango-citrus taste, smooth body, medium bitter citrus finish. Nice session IPA.

Draught @ Gun Hill Tavern. Extremely hazy orange with small foamy off-white head, faint orange peel/coriander aroma, low carbonation, medium bitter taste with a spicy aspect, smooth body, medium finish with orange aftertaste. Mellow and tasty.

Draught @ Gun Hill Tavern. Hazy rich orange with small creamy off-white head, orange peel aroma, medium carbonation, bitter orangey taste, smoewhat thick body, long orange peel finish. The lupulin flavor is a bit too strong.

Draught @ Ginger Man. Hazy pale yellow with very small frothy off-white head, faint citrus aroma, medium carbonation, medium bitter citrus peel taste, ehin body, longish hoppy finish. Smooth and tasty, good job.
