12 ounce bottle from Beer Run. Pours a hazy yellow color with a fizzy white head that fades quickly. Aroma of tart and candy apple notes, wood, whisky and spice. The taste is sweet apples, earthy notes, wood and whisky. Tart finish. Medium bodied. Interesting.

Pours pale yellow into a shaker. Head crackles and recedes to nothing. Sour apple and funk aromas. Dry, sweet hard candy apple upfront turning to mild skin in the abrupt finish.

Bottle from the Nugget on Covel in Davis, CA. Pours hazy dishwater gold. Aromas of ripe green apple skin and spiced peach. Near medium body. Flavor is green apple, light stone fruit, clove?, rye, and some astringent oak. One of the two best ciders I’ve had, and both have been from Crispin. Just goes to show that barrel aging will improve anything. Nice dry finish.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a white wine glass. Pours pale yellow almost clear with very little head that dissapates quickly. No lacing, very little carbonation, and light body. Taste is dry apple, a little honey, and a hint of alcohol that peaks out some. This is better as it warms.

Bottle from New Beer Distributors. Pale gold/straw color. A bit on the lively side. Smells of a blend of green apple & grape Jolly Ranchers, cut with boxed apple juice. Slightly musty. Mellow eating apples, melon, gum, plastic, big sulfites, & something "naturally flavored" that’s not too far from cream soda. Mild acidity & tartness. Not really all that dry. Moderate, crispy carbonation. Dusty/powdery texture on the finish. Actually preferable over ice. It helps cut the ugly.

Pours hazy, pale lemon into a shaker. No head whatsoever. Sour apple and mild sake aromas. Thin and almost still with mild apple and pear from front to back. Dry alcohol free sake-like finish.

12oz bottle poured into a 4oz sample cup. Pours a clear gold with little head. Aroma of sweet red apples. Taste is light sour and light sweet. Lots of sour green apples in the taste and a little honey. Thin bodied, thin texture. Fizzy carbonation and a surprisingly dry finish. Overall, not bad. Glad it was free because I won’t be buying it.

Very, very rubbery apple nose, new volatile rubber. Hazy lime green. Dry, crisp, and exceptionally clean. Slightly acidic and has body, but the flavor is virtually imperceptible. It’s like thick tangy water with the impression of apples. None of the awful phenolics are present on the palate. I expected weird, but not this kind of weird. Weak overall. I really can’t rate this any higher.

Sampled from a 12 oz clear bottle this cider poured a very pale yellow color with a trace off white head that faded almost instantly. The aroma was tangy sour apple with an apple skin note. The flavor was very tangy and moderately tart pears and apples with some sugar underneath. Medium finish and light body. Disappointing.

Sampled from a 12 oz clear bottle this cider poured a very pale yellow-clear color with a medium white seltzer head hat faded very quickly. The aroma was dryish and musty with notes of grape, faint apple and champagne. The flavor was dry and bitter with tart apples and a yeasty undertone. Medium finish and very light body. Overall more like champagne than cider.
