$2.35 can from wine warehouse. Bought it for someone else but I'm grasping at straws here. Clear gold. Aroma is almost exactly apple jolly ranchers. Taste is quite the same. Tastes more like a koolade flavor than something I'd be drinking. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

--- Beer merged from original tick of Bourbon Char on 06 Oct 2016 at 22:55 - Score: 8. Original review text: Great! Sweet/lightly tart apples; maple/oak/bourbon; light vanilla/smoke/char. Semisweet/spicy oak finish. Great balance/complexity. Smooth.

I think I may have an old bottle as the aroma is kind of funky and not in a good way. Apples, yes; unwashed body parts, no. Palate is good tho. Flavor’s somewhat similar to nose, no sign of maple or spices. I wouldn’t want another one of these although I could see, perhaps how someone might - maybe?

Kind of an interesting idea that just doesn’t play out. Appearance is a flat pale yellow. Aroma is fresh apple cider with some sake overtones that sort of work, if you’re into that kind of thing. Personally, I’ve had much better. Ok body. Short finish.

Aroma is ripe apples, and hints of honey and rum. Flavor’s similar to nose, plus a hint of oak. Sweet dominates, could maybe use a bit more carbonation to cut the sweet. I didn’t do the swirling until after I opened it. Appearance is a slightly cloudy amber cider. Decent finish.

5oz draft pour at Whole Foods Old Town Alexandria. Poured a clear light purple juice color with a fizzy off-white head. Aroma was blackberry with a touch of pear juice. The pears come out of this one a lot more than I’m used to with these - where the pear is really muted which leaves just a generic juice flavor. Blackberry was a nice addition. This was a lot less sweet than I expected.

Clear pale. Nice friendly fruity smell. Taste is pretty good, perhaps not as sweet and a little more dry compared to many american ciders but fer sure there is plenty of unfermented sugar in there. Decent co2. Has a bit of a bite to it. Yes, somewhat annoying on the end of each swig. A little less than expected.

Pretty nice. Light tarr/tangy blackberry with medium sweet pears; slight earth/spice. Balanced/smooth/dryish finish. Very pleasant.
