Bottle - Sweet red fruity notes and some creamy lacto note. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Light fruity and a touch of sourness. The fruit is not helping here.

Draft - Perfume and yeast. Cloudy gold with a small white head. Yeast, tart acidic apple and a green apple finish. Too much green apple.

Draft - Sweet and perfumy plum. Clearish gold with a nice white head. As it smells with a very woody bitterness. I think with some age this would mellow nicely.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Pale yellow color, opaque, with no head. Some smell of lemon and infection, armpit. Dry mouthfeel, it has a pleasant acidity, a bit lemony; I was expecting strong bread dough flavor, but there is almost none; soft, balanced, and rather refreshing.
Nice experiment.
Probably the best prison beer, (but that bar is low).

Cask at Big Rock Urban Brewery, Vancouver
Black color with no head. The aroma is mild, roasty and bready. The mouthfeel is a bit too dry, quite weak, hence the roasty character is too evident; no sweetness from the adjuncts, that would have been positive; a bit metallic in the end, and lightly sour, probably from the dark malts, but similar to berry Stouts.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma is nearly nonexistent, with maybe some light citrus, sourdough bread and lacto. Flavour is odd, with a very milky lacto quality dominating, with some citric notes on the finish. Odd stuff. Very light carbonation, with a creamy palate. Pretty decent, but unexciting.

On tap at Alibi Room with Brian. Pours a cloudy golden with a weak white head. Aroma is sour, fruity, fermented apple notes. Tart taste is pretty the same. Sour, dry aftertatse. Very good and refreshing.

On tap at 12 Kings. Hazy blonde. Thin head. Honey, malt nose. Biscuity malt on the palate, balanced, with light honeyish notes. Moderate bitterness. Don’t know about it being Kolsch, but it’s a good beer and I could drink a fair bit of it.
