Description
As much as we can enjoy an experimentally brewed beer loaded with hops, herbs, fruit, wood chips and topped with liquor... After a glass or two we really long for an honest, refreshing Lager beer again.

The explosively growing Dutch Craft beer market excels in experimental flavor bombs and boring copies of Belgian beers. However, you have to look for a good Lager with a magnifying glass. That is why we started Bierverbond. We let you experience how delicious Lager can be.

Attention: Since 2023, beers that are not brewed in Heemskerk are being sold under the name Roode Bier. So Bierverbond is (partially) gone as a rental brewer and the new rental brewer Roode Bier has emerged.

Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a footed pilsner glass. Malty nose. Clear deep golden colour, good frothy off-white head, good retention. Aroma sweet malts, grain, light caramel, herbal notes, grassy hops, retronasal malts. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, grain, bready, light caramel, alcohol notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, grain and husky notes, light spicy notes, well-made and tasty, very nice.

Actually quite a very nice rauchbier. Very bamberg-like. Nicely malted that is bold round and clean. Bierkonig ams

Awful beer. Worse than any bad homebrew i have brewed. Just thin and astringent and stale, still 7 month before expiry. Just ugly. Bierkonig ams

Bottle. Very dark brown. Cocoa, dry earthy notes, vanilla, dead leaves. Bit dusty, not too sweet. Meh.

Golden colour with lasting head. Very mild flavour. A bit thin. Basic and malty with a floral note. Misses the sessionability of other Marzen beers.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Burg Bieren, Ermelo. Dutch brewery #488.
Clear amber with a white head. Malty caramel and some flowery hops. Sweet taste with a low bitter flowery finish. glad to see that a Dutch brewery is appreciating lagers as much as me.

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, brown colour with ruby shimmer and small to average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, sulphureous, dark beige head. Dark malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, some dark caramel, roasty, dark malty overtones. Taste is dark and caramel malty, minimally roasty, notes of malt lozenge, some dark caramel, a touch of roasty and hoppy bitterness, very light fruity hints of plum and red berries. Watery texture, minimally dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Nice colour, nice maltiness, not overly deep - decent.

Rather light bodied. A bit of sourness, that probably shouldn’t be there. Smooth at least. And otherwise clean. But just a thin beer. Bierkonig ams

Bottle at home. Amber color, decent sized beige head. Aroma is malts, caramel malts, a bit dusty in the distance. Flavor is malts, quite bitter, again some caramalt flavor, cornflake-ish but without sugary or sweet notes, bit dusty again, lingering malt bitterness. Not bad.
