This isn''t something I look for. Very light ale with just a touch of honey sweetness.

Gorgeous amber with lasting off white head. Faint malt nose. Fizzy. Bland if drank cold. As it warms the malt comes out

A pioneering product back in the day, and it was pretty good when they were still in East Vancouver. After the move to Delta, the beer became more bland, but worse the yeast really became dominant in all their beers. Now the beer is made in Vernon at Okanagan Spring. The yeast is still strong, the flavour still simple, but it’s also still a drinkable brew.

Dull chestnut colour. Aroma is very nutty with hints of caramel with faint smokey, dusty notes. Nutty, spicy palate is a little watery.

I had this from the bright tank when they first developed it, back in the old East Van brewery. Back when the owner would give you a tour and tasting for the fun of it. Now the owner is national brewer Sleeman’s, and they make it at the big-ass factory in Vernon. It just ain’t the same.

What’s that? You want real notes? OK. Dull amber colour. Aroma is lightly malty, a little bit sweaty, with a hint of honey. Body is overattenuated, malt flavour minimal. The honey is nonexistent as are the hops. An empty amber ale, nothing like what it used to be.
