Description
Black Acre Brewing Co. is a small batch brewery located in Irvington, Indiana. The idea for Black Acre initially was conceived in 2010 due to our love of brewing, great beer, and the beer community at large. We created Black Acre with the goal of contributing delicious and unique beers to the community in which we live.
We hand craft our ales using a custom fabricated 3 barrel electric brewing system. Distribution is limited through our in house tap room sales, where both pints and growlers are available.
Visit the Black Acre Garden, Irvington's newest outdoor drinking space located at 5529 Bonna Avenue. The family and dog friendly Garden features a variety of Black Acre beers on tap with plenty of seating on the new deck, and guests invited to carry or order in food.

Keg at BD Mighty Boosh, 30/08/18. Rich chestnut brown with a handsome light beige covering. Nose is malt forward, light smoke, dried fruits, brown bread, toffee. Taste comprises fruit cake, toffee, dark malts, brown sugar, light smoke, raisins, dates, faint spice. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light boost. Ok for the style but lacks depth in flavour for effectively a double digit beer.

Keg at BD Bingoham. It pours clear orangey amber with a thick foamy white head. The aroma is sweet, bready, floury bap, candied fruits, orangey candy, greengage, bright melon vibes, toasted oats and cereal. The taste is dry, bitter, toasty grain, cereal, toasted oat, porridge, hay, straw, pithy, zesty, melon, greengage, slightly chalky, lemongrass and kick of alcohol with a dry finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. Decent, certainly has that melon vibe.

Keg at BD Sheps Boost, 26/07/18. Pitch black with a lasting dirty tan head ... a good looker! Nose is mellow roast, toffee, lighy charr, cocoa rub, light smoke, brown bread. Taste comprises bitter sweet roast, light coffee, toffee, chocolate biscuit, dried fruits, brown sugar melt, light booze, hint of liquorice. Full bodied, smooth feel, balanced warming boost offered. Decent easy drinking impy.
