(Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful amber with a handsome and rather stable head. Very malty nose. Flavours are dominated by caramel malt and some toasted - almost coffeeish - notes. Quite bitter in the finish. Good brew. 110300

Amber color with almost white slightly creamy head, has a complex (to my vocabulary) english yeast taste that grows on you. Can almost be tart but has some toffee overtones. Making for an interesting and refreshing beer albeit slightly dry.

500ml bottle. This used to be one of my favourite beers many, many years ago. I liked the red berry fruits, rich malts and earthy hoppiness. All of these traits are still here, but it has also developed a rather dead metallic feel in the mouth, maybe from the pasteurisation and filtration. Copper colour, thin beige head. Red berry, malt and hop nose, touch of spice too. Bit metallic in mouth, but more red beery fruit, malt smoothness kicks in and then earthy hop finish with a touch of toffee

Bottled. Amber/dark copper coloured, mediumsized beigish head. Weak fruity hoppy aroma with a weak sting of alcohol. Hoppy fruity flavour. Leaves sticky palate and the aftertaste is halfdry and hoppy. A bit boring.

Amber color, not much head. Oaky - woody aroma. Toffeeish, caramelly, woody hoppy flavor. Hides alcohol quite well but is quite pale too. Drinkable but not in the world class.

50cl bottle from Asda. Darkish copper colour with thin white head. Stale malt aroma with caramel and some hop. Some caramel in mouth and on the end with some hop. Bit dead overall

Thought this was an enjoyable bitter. Amber pour with modest light tan head. Malts, yeast evident in the mild nose, combining for a grainy aroma. The flavor was slightly sweet, ending with a nice bitterness. Smooth and drinkable.

(bottle) Clear and deep reddish amber body with a medium foamy slightly tanned head. Floral hoppy and fruity (ripe apples) aroma. Dry and bitter flavour and taste with a fruity palate with nuances of toffee, liquorice and a dry bitterhoppy finish.
