Description
From the kid grinding paper routes at 9 years old to the self-made force behind one of the most iconic metal bands of all time, Dave’s never waited around for permission. If he wanted something, he built it himself—from the ground up, guitars blazing.
Megadeth isn't just a band. It became a platform. A launching pad for ideas. So when Dave decided to make a beer, it was about crafting something real. Something he would actually drink, and proudly share with fans.
“Megadeth Beer means being able to share another part of me with our fans.”
Dave’s fingerprints are all over these brews. He helped shape the recipe for A Tout le Monde, fine-tuned Saison 13, and tasted his way through flights in London to nail the new Rattlehead lineup. Pilsner, IPA and IPA Zero. Each one chosen for taste—not trend. If it didn’t hit right, it didn’t make the cut.
That’s the bar Dave sets. Whether he’s on stage or off the clock, everything’s done with the same fire. The same edge. The same attention to detail that built a global legacy.
Black Sheep’s partnership with Megadeth is a union of two forces who have always pushed against the grain. When you crack a can of Rattlehead, you’re drinking to stay true to your values and celebrating all who continue to be Black Sheep.

Can. Just a light haze on gold beer, small bubbly pale cream head. Light palate, slightly dry, a good fine minerally crispness. Slightly thin bodied pale malts but sweet enough. The hops are a surprise, well the ubiquitous cooling pine is not, but the fruity punch really is. Bright tangy passion fruit, a little stone fruits. Light finish. Nicely done and a complete surprise. Well done Dave Mustaine.

25/4/2026. Can from Tesco, Ely. Pours fine. Aroma is hoppy, dank, musty tropical fruits. Bittersweet taste. Touch tart. Decent body. Average carbonation. Quite drinkable.

440ml can @ Benzai's Anti-Carnival Valentine's Day Tasting, Feb 26. Drunk listening to Metallica, for a reason I couldn't quite ascertain. Slightly unclear golden yellow pour, loose bubbles atop. Juicy grapefruit, citrus orange, lemon cake.. light bodied.. a bit airy.. for a novelty band beer it's not bad at all.

Thin spotty beige head on a hazy dull golden coloured body.
Muted citrus aroma.
Medium bodied, soft with a lightly carbonated cloying back.
Melon, chalky, citrus & grapefruit tastes with a bitter finish.
Nice enough.

Can shared at Anti-Carnavalstasting 2026. A bit hazy pale yellow color, small white head. Aroma and flavor are wheat, a bit odd, dishwasher water, butter. Meh, not a fan.
