Description
From the kid grinding paper routes at 9 years old to the self-made force behind one of the most iconic metal bands of all time, Dave’s never waited around for permission. If he wanted something, he built it himself—from the ground up, guitars blazing.

Megadeth isn't just a band. It became a platform. A launching pad for ideas. So when Dave decided to make a beer, it was about crafting something real. Something he would actually drink, and proudly share with fans.

“Megadeth Beer means being able to share another part of me with our fans.”

Dave’s fingerprints are all over these brews. He helped shape the recipe for A Tout le Monde, fine-tuned Saison 13, and tasted his way through flights in London to nail the new Rattlehead lineup. Pilsner, IPA and IPA Zero. Each one chosen for taste—not trend. If it didn’t hit right, it didn’t make the cut.

That’s the bar Dave sets. Whether he’s on stage or off the clock, everything’s done with the same fire. The same edge. The same attention to detail that built a global legacy.

Black Sheep’s partnership with Megadeth is a union of two forces who have always pushed against the grain. When you crack a can of Rattlehead, you’re drinking to stay true to your values and celebrating all who continue to be Black Sheep.

Can from Tesco, Brooklands. Hazy pale orange. Foamy white head soon becomes predominantly a bald spot. Aroma has low key but tart citrus. Underlying damp malts. Flavourwise it's also low key. Tart bitter citrus over a drop of sweet stone fruit. Underlying hints of malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Typically limp SIPA. They've attempted to accentuate the hops but just ended up with one-noted tartness.

Hazy gold with a bubbly / frothy white head and a mellow tropical fruit salad aroma. Pretty fizzy, fruity with grapefruit bitterness, some resinous pine, a touch of chewy, grassy malt and a dry bittersweet finish.

440ml can from Tesco Extra in Chesterfield - cloudy gold body with no real head. A bit thin in texture, usual hoppy citrus and pine IPA character, little grassiness in the finish.
