Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque orangey golden with no head. Distinct thick and intense funky aroma, I smell both Brett and Acetobacter. Medium body, hardly any carbonation. An initial fruity sweetness, apples, noble rot - quite cidery. Lots of leathery notes from the Brett and a solid sourness. If this is the first attempt at a Sour from these guys, then it's certainly a solid offer! 170222

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a slightly hazy, reddish amber with a lacing, off-white head. Nose is somewhat sharp, estery and phenollic - typical Saison yeast. Medium body, an initial slight sweetness, flowery, berry like and then the beer turns very dry and yeasty with a subdued bitterness. Slightly tart - salty even? Weird brew. 160222

Bottle 33 cl. Hazy amber with a tiny, off-white head. Sweet malt aroma, a hint of toffee. Sweet, rich, malty body - again a little toffee and perhaps oxidation. Hardly any bitterness. Borderline Dunkler Bock. 160222

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear, golden beer with a creamy, rich and lacing white head. Herbal, earthy hop aroma. Medium body, soft and smooth mouthfeel, dry maltiness and a dicreet bitterness. In much better condition than the white label version. Contains Cascade hops which the white label version doesn't. 150222

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear golden with a lacing, white head. Nose is a little muddled, flowery, sulphury and slightly oxidized. Medium body, flowery, a little greasy with a bitter finish. A hint of tartness? Seems somewhat tired. Contains Callista hops which the black label version doesn't. 150222

330ml bottle. Opalescent, yellow-ish, golden colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Floral, herbal, minimally fruity, hoppy aroma, hints of dill, parsley, a touch of lime peel. Taste is herbal and floral, slightly zesty, citrusy fruity hoppy, hints of parsley, dill, lime peel, a touch of lemon balm, minimally biscuity, pale malty basis; widely hidden, minimally grainy undetones. Watery texture, minimally chewy palate, fine and soft carbonation. More herbal than fruity hoppy - not bad.

330ml bottle. Slightly milky, orange, dark golden to amber colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Cautious, spicy malty aroma, spicy aroma in general, hints of ginger, a touch of cinnamon, whiffs of aniseed. Taste is spicy and sweet-ish malty, notes of ginger, a touch of aniseed, allspice, light citrusy hoppy overtones; quite ginger dominated overall, no soapy aspects at all. Slightly oily, watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, soft carbonation. Mild spiciness, full bodied maltiness; despite the adjuncts rather simple and homogeneous if not monotonous - OK.
