Sampled at Oirschots Bierfestival 2024. Nearly black color, small off-white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, hops, light iodine, band aid, quite heavy on that part. It dominates the hops which I suppose should be in there but aren't really detectable. Mwah. Not very good as a BIPA. 8-7-6-7-6

Sampled at Oirschots Bierfestival 2024. Murky brown color, virtually no head. Aroma is malts, booze. Flavor is malts, booze, light tart, wood. Rather sharp imo, the BA has been too long I think. Meh. 6-6-5-6-5

Sampled at Oirschots Bierfestival 2024. Opaque black color, average sized beige head. Aroma suggests a weird barrel. Sherry? Tequila? I don't know. Very typical boozy flavor. Think the barrel aging has been done well, I just don't like this barrels' flavor. Drinkable but not my thing. 8-6-6-8-6,5 -- Note: was this Madeira, really? Never would've guessed..

Sampled at Oirschots Bierfestival 2024. Opaque dark brown to black color, beige head. Aroma nicely showcases the barrel, clearly present up front. Flavor has it too, malts, sweetish, barrel flavors clearly in there though I don't know what barrel it's been in, sweetish notes. Very nice. I like this one. 8-8-8-8-8

Sampled at Oirschots Bierfestival 2024. Opaque dark brown to black color, small beige head. Aroma and flavor are malts, light tar in the background, dark malts, sweetish hint in the finish. Hmm decent, but I must say it doesn't have the warmth I like in a quadrupel. Eans a bit too much on the roasty malts, a bit too much towards a stout imo. 7-7-6-6-6

Geprobeerd op het Brabants Speciaalbier Festival in Oirschot met LiekevdV, Inoven, Benzai en Roelzie. Het is een donkerbruin bier met een dun bruinig schuim. Het heeft een aroma van whisky en turf. De smaak is vol, gebrande mout, turf en whisky.
