Bottle: Deep golden, bigger fluffy white head, slowly collapsing; light to moderate malty/toasted malty nose with nutty pots and a distinctive hoppy background; clean, moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, soft MF; shorter, quite light, a bit drier malty-nutty and bitter finish. Pleasant brew.......

Wooden Cask gravity @ brewery tap, Becher Bräu, Bayreuth, Oberfranken/Bayern, Germany. Clear medium amber color with a average to large, creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light hoppy, grass, toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration. (Very nice balanced). Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. ;o)) (181007)

Draught @ brewery tap, Becher Bräu, Bayreuth, Oberfranken/Bayern, Germany. Unclear medium yellow color with a large, frothy, good / excellent lacing, fully lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate hoppy, citrus, lime. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (181007)

Leicht malziger Antrunk, in dem der zuerst untertönig getreidige Ton in den Vordergrund rückt. Lascher Mittelteil, die Getreidigkeit ist weiter präsent. Zum Ende hin wird das Bier wieder malziger und damit gleichzeitig süßer. Dazu leicht fruchtig und modrig. Test vom 25.10.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,7,7,5,9,6 - 6,80

Getrunken beim 1. BTO-Treffen. Das Bier schmeckt hopfig und hat eine säuerliche Note, im Mittelteil angenehm malzaromatisch. Der Abgang passt nicht ganze zum Rest des Bieres, er präsentiert sich bitter-herb. Recht aromatisches Bier, dazu recht süffig – das beste Bier der Becher-Reihe. Slightly sweet malty, dms, shy hoppy aroma. Moderately sweet flavour, toast-malty, slightly chewy taste with a touch of honey; medium-dry, malty finish with a light alcoholic note.

Sweetish malty aroma with a touch of sourness and minimal fruity notes; light sweet flavour, medium to light body. Pretty one-dimensional malty taste; sweet-bitter finish with a shy touch of herbal hops. Rather disappointing.

Shy, slightly sweet, ashy aroma of dark malt and light fruity notes (raisins) and only traces of hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium body with a moderate carbonation. Ashy malty taste, shy toasty notes with the imagination of dried fruits; dryish, moderately bitter finish with hints of herbal hops. Not that convincing, probably coloured Dunkel.

Light bitter, light to medium body, moderate carbonation. Yeasty, malty taste with yeasty bitter notes from the beginning and a faint fruity touch. Moderately bitter and slightly hoppy finish. Not a world-shaking brew but just okay.

Frischer, würziger Geruch. Geschmacklich nur mäßig würzig mit hopfig-herbem Touch, leicht muffig. Im Abgang hopfiger und etwas malzig, was zum Rest des Bieres passt. Wirkt recht harmonisch. Test vom 31.12.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,11,11,11,10,11 - 10,95
