Laff gerstig, wenig erfrischend. Schlechter Bock. 8/6/7/7/9/6

bottle from Coop Kreuzlingen. A few years after the closure of Bärlocher, Weinfelden TG has a new brewery. As they ar just at the beginning, it seems that at the moment their beer is brewed elsewhere in Switzerland (I guess Locher Appenzell, due to the bottles and crown cap) Hazy pale golden colour, mid-sized white head. Yeasty nose. Medium-bodied, malty and quite yeasty with a buttermilk sourness and a shy fruity touch. Shy hop flavours in the finish.

(58cl bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Clear, pale golden colour wit a short foamy white head. Sweet grainy nose with citrus and a tinge of honey. Moderately sweet flavour, light bodied with a crispy mouthfeel. Strawy and grainy malty taste with a whiff of honey; slim malty finish with cardboard and a tinge of bitterness. Drinkable, somewhat refreshing Helles, but no Highlight.

Bügelverschlußflasche ( Dank an Stefan !): Golden coloured, mid-sized, quite stable white fluffy head, visible carbonation, sweetish-grainy nose with a tinge of toasted malt and molasses(!), some umbels of oaky hops detectable; moderate sweet and a bit bitter flavour, soft MF; smooth bitter-sweet finish with traces of oaky hops and toasted malt. A very well rounded Lager.....

Blond color. Common aroma like many other Pale Lagers, with a dash of malt. The flavor is better, balanced, with a resonable malt taste (at least within the category), a strong bitterness and hidden somewhere there is even some aroma hop. Refreshing, and better than the average Swiss pale lager.

Tiny bottle. Golden yellow, decent head. Very malty lager with very nice hop flavours in the backgorund.

pale yellow with decent head. Smells like a normal beer, not like an alc-reduced one. Quite malty, slightly hoppy and dry. Rather full bodied for a light beer. Normally I don’t like light beers very much, but this one is really good.

red-brown colour, large head. Aroma of caramel, roasted malt and coffee. Complex brew: tastes of coffee, caramel, wild berries and bitter chocolate. Malty throughout and hoppy in the finish.
