SOPP 2013, Turku. A cloudy, brown-yellow beer with a medium and blond head. Weird aroma, sour, berries, lots of green apples. Taste is sour, apples, herbal bitterness, berries, Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Difficult beer to judge, contaminated, but still drinkable, sour and unique beer.

SOPP 2013, Turku. A black beer with a big and brown head. Aroma is roasted, liquirice, some coffee and hint of lactose sourness. Taste is rich and powerfull, roastiness, liquirice, herbal bitterness dries the taste. Full bodied, smooth low carbonation, easy to drink. Very succesfully beer with the strong flavours, still easy to enjoy.

A hazy, light yellow beer with a weak and blond. Aroma of fruits, gooseberries, lychee and hint of black currants. Very tastefull, sophisticated and fruitfull/berry aroma. Taste is not so fruitfull, quite dry and biscuity malts, lots of gooseberries, hint of black currants, nice bitterness. Taste is quite mild and there could be more fruits. Light bodied, easy to drink. Great aroma, other parts are not so great, but anyway, a tasfull summer beer.

Aroma has caramel, resin, somewhat ripe fruits and hints of toffee. Flavour has resin, nettles, some vegetables, malty tones and caramel. Also some woody notes and hints of hay. Vegetables push through at the end of the glass. I read that the target was basic lager, but this is definitely something else. An amber lager could be the closest one. Or even amber ale.

Somewhat sour and tart aroma with urinal cake, earthy notes and some citrus. Flavour is tart and sour with citrus, some urinal cake, vegetables, hints of hay and biscuits. Also some lactic acid. Not sure what was the target but the result is a sour ale.

Aroma is a bit odd with grain, some hay, hints of apricot, citrus and a slight sour feeling. Flavour is tart and somewhat sour with grainy malt, some citrus, hints of toffee and caramel. The paper said 100 EBU but I am not able to locate any. Too contaminated and sour.

Aroma is sweet with caramel, some hops and exotic fruits. Also vanilla and hints of raspberries. Rather aggressive hops in the flavour side. Also some yeasty notes, gooseberry bush and berries. The hops turn into vegetables towards the finish. A bit too messy and yeasty. Also the vegetables do feel quite unpleasant at the end of the glass.

Aroma has yeasty notes, citrus and some fruity notes. Flavouris somewhat hoppy with herbal notes, gooseberry bush, yeasty notes and.orange. Dry finish. Starts to feel yasty with cardboard notes towards the end of the glass, I heard that the target was to brew a lemony beer without adding any real lemon. And I think they succeeded.

My 4000. rating!
Aroma has licorice, some distant smoky notes, hints of tar and ash. Flavour has slightly salty licorice, some soy sauce and distant herbal notes. Dry and kind of leathery finish. Somewhat sticky palate. A positive surprise and the best beer from Kuninkaankartano so far.

Aroma is a bit odd with orange, some citrus, yeasty notes and hints of plastic. Flavour is quite tart with yeasty notes, orange, some citrus, grapefruit and some spices. Feels a bit like lemonade made of citrus fruits. This lacks something witbiers usually have.
