12 oz. bottle from Aldi. Pours a pitch brown-black color with a small, tight khaki head and good retention. Decent lacing. Roasted malt aroma. The taste follows the nose: Roasted malt flavor with a hint of dark cocoa in the finish. Medium body. A little thin for a stout. Smooth and clean. Medium-light carbonation. Not bitter. Good flavor profile, but not quite as creamy or meaty as a Guinness. An enjoyable substitute at a good price.

Sixer from Aldi to go with our pork shoulder tacos. Relatively fresh, about a month old, forgot the date.

Mojito glass at home. Classic premium lager but with a faint touch of protein haze.
Sweet corn & cereal, sharp herbal nose.
Fizzy, sweet cereal, grassy & sharp, kinda acidy, thin.

Not terrible for what it is. Cleaner than a Modelo. Great with a lime.

Bottle from ALDI Seminole. Pour is rather very light pale. Nose is quite refreshing, no sign of any ill character on the olfactory. White head fades immediately. Taste is clean and fresh, JMHO, not bad for a mexican lager. Goes down pretty easy; civilized friendly, maybe a hint of lime? Not sure. Very good level of co2 as well. The last two mexican lagers I got at aldi have not been dissapointing; just simple bubbly fresh satisfying pale lager at a decent price! Thanks aldi. Right up there with Aldi Carista, Great Lakes Mexican Lager with Lime, Alesmith Clasico, and Alesmith Sublime.

ALDI’s attempt to make Two-Hearted IPA. Curious as to the “natural flavors” added. Tastes like a mediocre IPA. Moving on.
