Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a sweet malt, licorice and butterscotch finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft. I expected to get a little heat from chilies in this one but couldn’t find it.

Bottle. A small, off-white head sits on top of a clear, golden to amber body. There’s anise, bell pepper, diacetyl and caramel in the aroma. It’s medium to full-bodied on the palate, rather sweetish, with flavors of butterscotch, caramel, pale malts and some licorice and bitterness. Not much chili detected, if any at all. Licorice finish. A strange one indeed, and with the diacetyl so much present it isn’t interesting at all. 131004

Bottle. Dark brown colour with a beige head. aroma is chili, licorice, caramel. Flavour is sweet, chili, licorice, caramel, sugar, malt. Medium body. Ordinary beer.

Bottle. Pours opaque reddish black with tiny thin offwhite head. Aroma is roasted malt, overripe fruit, caramel, fudge, sweet chocolate and Tawny port wine. Taste is initial light sweet then light to medium bitter and light sour. Body is light oily with fizzy carbonation. Finish is medium long and sweet with notes of caramel, brown sugar, strawberry jam, cherries, ripe red plums and apricot. Overall very sweet.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear amber color, small off - white head that diminishes quickly. Aroma has malts, leaves, overripe fruits, lightly raisins, a slight touch of tea. Taste malts, slightly sweet, maybe slightly overripe fruits. Not a lot of flavors, at least I was expecting more. Doesn’t taste like 8.5% ABV either. Medium body and carbonation.

Bottle @ Benzai. Amber to copper colour with no head. Smells some alcohol and some malts. Not a lot of smell. Tastes some malts, watery, some alcohol. Boring as fuck. Thin body, soft carbo. Even Rabbitos (benzai’s rabbit) disapproves.

Bottle, 8.5%. Fruity aroma. Clear dark amber colour. Small unstable head. The flavour is malty, sweet, papery, and slightly boozy. On the sweet side, but nicely balanced by a warming alcohol.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with small, airy off-white head. Clear atoma of malt, caramel and fruit. Booze in the long nose. Bitter, hoppy flavour, quickly giving way to sweetish notes of malt, caramel and fruit. Warming alcohol presence. Bitter, mildly boozy aftertaste. OK.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with small white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast with notes of hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with acidic notes and touches of yeast. High carbonation but thin and watery body. Sourish and bitter aftertaste. Nothing special, to put it mildly.
