Can. Deep red brown with a 2cm off white head that lasts OK. Aroma of spicy bread, light caramel, grapefruit. Rich but only moderately sweet with just sticky breadcrust, spices, an intrusive earthy note, solid bitterness with punchy spices. Citrus gets a bit lost. Hearty and pretty good.

Can. Clear brown, a modest pale beige head. Aroma of caramel, bread, hints of spices, nuts and chocolate. Rich and moderately sweet with enough spiced bitterness keeping it from being cloying. Solid.

Can. Cloudy amber with a cm of near white head that lasts OK. Aroma of breadcrust, pine, some grapefruit and berries. Hearty despite being fairly light bodied, fruit emerges from crusty bready malt before pine squeezes things a little towards the fairly bitter finish. Satisfyingly grand.

Schooner on tap at Imperial Hotel,. Murwillumbah. Amber beer with a thin white head, high fine carbonation. Slight haze. Faint aroma of earthy hops and malt. Nice lacing. Malt upfront then metallic hops to finish. Well balanced, easy drinking ale. Solid.
