From tap. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild spiced and smooth toasted malty and crisp hoppy. Ends dry, phenolic and caramelish. Smooth caramelish.

From tap. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is smioth dark roasted malty. Liqourice too. Bitter, dark roasted and malty, breadish and roasted. Smooth and roasted into the finish.

Draught at CBF12. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bittter flavr. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

Sample from tap, CBF 2012. Pitch black with small, tanned head. Sweet and roasted aroma with caramel and chocolate. Sweet, roasted taste. Medium to full body with a creamy texture. Finished long lasting with a roasted note, along with caramel, dark chocolate and alcohol. Good porter.

Draught. Mild grainy and dusty aroma. Clear golden colour. Subtly sweet malt flavour with a good dusty feel to it. A bit caramelly, but good.

Draught. Sourish caramelly aroma. Clear dark brown colour. No head. The flavour is caramelly, has a little aniseed.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear yellow with a tiny white head. Sweet malty nose. Medium body, sweet malts, a little metal and sulphur with a dryish finish. Hardly any hops though. 110512

On tap at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Chestnut coloured beer, beige head. Malty aroma, brown bread and caramel. Brown bread and caramel in the flavour too, tastes like a Münchener dunkel on steroids.

Sample on tap at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Black colour, large tan head. Roasty aroma and flavour, mild coffee, hints of liquorice. Richer mouthfeel than the old 5.8% version. A hint of smoke in the aftertaste. Good stuff.
