Our beer is being produced from pure raw materials, and in accordance to the German purity law. We mainly use malts from our own production on the estate.

Krenkerup Brewery is the newest addition to the old and distinguished Krenkerup Estate situated in the beautiful Danish countryside, near our local town Sakskoebing. The estate has, since 1367, been passed on from generation to generation without ever being sold, giving the owners family very special and long lasting relations to the local area and the people within it.

The brewery is located in the estate’s old grain storage building with a significant amount of the original structure still preserved. The impressive steel fermentation tanks for beer production, share the space with the building’s 300 year old oak beams. The estate beautifully combines the old buildings with the new and state of the art, top modern brewery.

Krenkerup Brewery produces its top quality beers in accordance to the Bavarian purity law. A production method focusing solely on four ingredients and absolutely no additives, preservatives or added enzymes, colors or sugars. We create quality beer using only water, malt, hops, yeast and nothing else!

Nothing is left to chance with Krenkerup beer; even the water being used in the brewing process is tailored to suit the individual beers. We use the perfect mix of hard and soft water with our various types of quality beers – you can really taste the difference.

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! A black beer with a mid-sized most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of mint, dark chocolate, burned dark malt. Taste of dark chocolate malt, mint, melasse, herbs, interesting!

Draught @ [ DØE - Ølfestival 2018 ] @ Lokomotivværkstedet, Otto Busses Vej 5A, 2450 Copenhagen SV, Denmark. [ As Krenkerup Helles ].Clear light medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, light grain, light to moderate hoppy, grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, pale malt, sweet malt, grain, grass, malty, light dusty, medium dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20180531] 7-3-7-3-15

Draught at KØ18. Weak mint aroma. Black colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is slightly sweet and nicely minty. Good combination, actually.

500ml bottel. Smooth mild beginning. The body is nice deep malty with dry caramel there, round and deep. The Mint is there, but hidden in the back, harmonising very well with a nice and deep smooth roasted malty body. Intense round, sessionable and still deep, the mint is in the back, the body is light and rich in one, nice easy to drink mint stout.

500ml bottle. The beer starts highly carbonated. Intense fruity, with a nice sourish body. Deep with a fruity mild sourish body. Round and refreshing. Spice is there, dry smooth malts with hints of lactic sourness and a smooth funky herbal aftertaste. Very nice balanced, easy to drink and still deep. I like this one!

500ml bottle. The beer has a smooth and slightly smoked nose. Fresh floral beginning, the smoke is there only far in the back. Nice hints of roast and dry malts. Smooth smoked mild aftertaste, sweetish grainy, very dry in total with a grainy bitter aftertaste with smokey layer on top. Interesting and refreshing, but more on the mild side.

From tap. Pours clear and golden pale yellow. No head. Aroma is grassy, straw. Bitter, grassy. Toasted. Slight straw. Bitter and grassy, slight toasted and straw finish.

Ølfestivalen København. Hazy pale golden with a small white head. Big bready malt aroma with herbal hops. Clean malty and spicy hoppy flavour with a mild bitter finish.

Draught at café. Not that exited about drinking this during MBCC... Clear amber golden colour with a thin white head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts and fruits. Taste is sweet. Slightly drying finish with caramel malts. Not to exciting.
