Bottle. It’s an unclear one, dark amber to brown in color and with a dense, finger-thick beige head. The aroma is on the malty side, with toffee, bread and some alcohol and grass. Hay, resins and a touch of prunes. The flavor is semi-sweet, but it feels quite dry, with a pleasant carbonation level. Resiny notes too, and some alcohol, lots of bread and toffee. Long finish. A decent bock, but weak as a doppelbock I think. 150524

Bottle. A dense, finger-thick light beige head forms over an unclear, dark amber colored body. The aroma has a touch of dried fruits and some roasted malts, with a touch of toffee and brown sugar. Some anise seed too. The flavor has the same roasted malts, toffee and anise, some raisins and a decent bitterness. Full body and a soft carbonation. Lasting roasted, bready and faintly bitter finish. Not a favorite of mine, but quite nice actually. Especially the anise makes it interesting. 150524

500 ml bottle. Clear amber body with a small, lacing, tan head. Aroma has some light caramel and iron. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, a bit harsh bitterness, green apples and iron. Medium body with some kind of not very pleasant bitter aftertaste with iron. This is not a particular nice beer.

Bottle, 8%. Good liquorice aroma with a touch of smoke. Almost black colour, has a red shine and seems clear. Good stable tight creamy light brown head. The flavour is nicely roasted, creamy and smokey. Very close to Limfjordsporter, but this one seems a little thinner, which can be forgiven. Late creamy finish. Vinous aftertaste.

Bottle, 8%. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt, brown sugar, caramel and yeast. Bitetr, roasty flavour with smoky notes and touches of hops, malt and yeast. Bitter and smoky aftertaste. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. Reminds me of Limfjordsporter, which is a good thing :-) Not as thick as that, though.
