Glass at soft opening of XOXO sushi bar. Clear looking with slight filmy legs. Nose is melon and anise. Tastes of honey dew and licorice and sticky rice. Subtle flavors. Some alcohol warming. Medium bodied.

720 ml bottle from Yamamoto. Strong koji nose, rather funky, melon, Asian pear, white grape. Rice. Rich rice flavor, koji, rather dry, crisp, not highly flowery, but nice fruits. Not sure this is particularly summery. Crisp enough, but a bit bitter and rich. Nice enough.

Loooot of honeydew melon hint of watermelon. Very light and clean, some floral notes and a bit of cooked white rice.
Moderate acidity, light melon with moderate sweetness and a drying finish. Bit of cooked rice. Clean, easygoing.

720 ml bottle mail order. Ripe, fruity nose, very ripe tropical fruit, papaya, durian, orange, rice, light vanilla. Viscous and a bit thick. fruity, ricy, spicy, rich. I like the flavor a lot. Fresh and nama, but not super fragrant in the ginjo sense. It is a solid, rich junmai, but nama. Works very well afaiac. Full, rounded body. Moderate sweetness. Funky, rice and koji finish with hints of cedar. Good. And cheap.about ¥1150, making it one of the best price to taste values in the sake world.

720 ml bottle from Seijo Ishii. Hiyaoroshi version made from Akiagari rice. Nose if rice, a touch of caramel, stone fruits. Flavor is sweet rice and stewed fruits, peach, apricot, and a slight alcohol burn. Nice silky body. Good. Not terribly unique, but very solid.

Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, fruity, rice, alcohol, coconut, pineapple notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light alcoholic.
