Picked up from a 12 bottle box Kalea? from Globus. Plattling, €13. Consumed at home Wednesday 3rd December 2025 in the company of Jude. We changed our mind from Pasta with Gorgonzola and Walnuts to a cheese board. Listening to Jon Hopkins - Singularity. We changed our mind from Pasta with Gorgonzola and Walnuts to a cheese board. Pours mid gold, there is a little bit of haze and a mid sized white head. Aroma is quite clean and fresh. Soft mouthfeel, not as crisp as expected, flavour is easy going, a bit malty but not too in depth, background bitterness that builds. Quite good, score 6.4

500 ml bottle. Clear golden, foamy head. Grain, lard, citrus, slightly metallic. Dry bitterness, grainy sweetness. Medium to light bodied, oily watery texture, soft to lively carbonated, dry grainy bittersweet finish. It’s a simple well made Helles without big mistakes that serves its purpose.
