Sampled from tap at the brewpub at 12.5% abv. Clear, dark brown with a tan head. Sweetish, slightly yeasty-spicy aroma of caramel, brown sugar, raisins, licorice and blackcurrant. Sweet, slightly yeasty-spicy taste of caramel, brown sugar, some raisins, licorice and some blackcurrant, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Quite nice, but more a BSA than a Barleywine, reminds me a lot of coke as well.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear very pale golden color, small white head. Smell and taste malts, straw, rice, cardboard, dusty. Low body and carbonation. Not a good exemple of the style and not very good.
