720 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 16%. Clear and very pale greenish-yellow colour. Aroma of rice, mushrooms and cedarwood. Medium sweet flavour with the same elements as the aroma, noticeable alcohol. Warming mouthfeel.

500 ml screwcap bottle, from Vinmonopolet Verksgt., Stavanger. ABV is 8%. This is a Junmai Ginjo Sake (not to be confused with spirits-based yuzu drinks), blended with natural yuzu juice. Cloudy yellow colour. Both aroma and flavour have distinct notes of yuzu, but also some herbal and rice notes to remind you that this is a sake. I love yuzu , so I might well buy this one again.

Drank at room temperature. The appearance of the liquid is colorless and transparent. The olfactory intensity is high and lasts appreciably. The taste on the nose - dominant aroma is of malted Koji rice. The taste on the nose - secondary aromas is of vanilla, melon, dried apricot, spices, anise, cooked pear, white mushrooms and tropical fruit for a fruity aroma. The first impression of intensity in the mouth is of power and vigorous sake. The body is full. The taste intensity is high and of good persistence. The taste is pleasant. The final mouth sensations are of drinkable sake. In the mouth the aroma is that of melon, coconut, anise, white pepper, fruity aroma, white flowers and mimosa.

Small bottle shared. Nose is strawberry Quick milk, light koji and rice strawberry yogurt. Pink, hazy. Sweet overall, but with a bit of fruity tartness. Sweet and fake tasting but ok.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Clear very pale pale golden. Aniseed and bread. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Less powerful than Junmai, yet with the aniseed delight.

Bottled at SBWF. Cloudy very pale yellow. Distinct aniseed aroma with some tobacco. Mid sweet with medium medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Grainy licorice, aniseed and tobacco. Mildly warming finish. Rustic and harmonious. I like it.

Bottled at SBWF (1998 vintage) Lightly hazy pale golden. Intriguing aroma of dried plums and licorice. Dry with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Peppery aniseed and salmiak. Spicy with lots of mature dried plums. Quite tasty, and unlike most of what I have tasted before.
