Braukunst aus dem Herzen Bayerns. In unserer unternehmergeführten Brauerei weiß man Tradition und zeitgemäße Braukunst zu verbinden. Diese Verbindung gepaart mit besten Rohstoffen ergeben Bierspezialitäten, die Kenner aus der ganzen Region zu den Besten weit und breit zählen.

Seit dem Jahre 1890 wird in langer Familientradition durch uns, die Familie Hell, in Altötting gebraut. Und Qualität erwächst eben aus Tradition und Beständigkeit. So auch bei all unseren Bieren, die strikt nach dem Bayerischen Reinheitsgebot gebraut werden.

Nun schon in der 5. Generation wird beste heimische Bierqualität gebraut. Unser junger Braumeister „Georg der Fünfte“ schafft mit regionalem Gerstenmalz und wertvollem Hopfen aus der Hallertau beste bayerische Bierspezialitäten. Und wenn's der Qualität dient – dann kann der Aufwand nicht groß genug sein.

Small off-white head over crystal clear, finely carbonated deeper golden beer. Slight oxydation, old bread, nutty, biscuit, and a whiff of sherry-like, if sweetish aroma. Sweet, again some oxydation, lightly coloured malts, sweet bread, yellow dune flowers, sweet woodruff. Light body, low carbonation enhancing the slickness. OK, classical sweet Märzen. Txs to Stef!

50cl bottle. A hazy golden beer with a white head. Aroma of yeast, pale malt, some straw and grains. Taste of mild grainy malt, straw, moderate spicy hops, yeast. Good!

Bottle picked up from Getränke Centre Schwabing, München and consumed at home Saturday 26th September 2020 getting ready to cook Chicken Shawarmas listening to new album by Hen Ogledd - Free Humans. Pours dark chestnut, reddy brown with a small/mid sized off white head. Nutty, caramel, soft mouthfeel, a touch of dark brown sugar but there is a light bitterness. Very nice.

Bottle picked up from Getränkecenter Schwabing, München and consumed at home Sunday 7th June 2020 listening to Explosions in the Sky - The Wilderness and about to cook Pastitsio and also Cannelloni. Pours hazy yellowy colour with a swiftly departing white head. Malty and with a little caramel on the nose, soft mouthfeel. Malty, simple Kellerbier, nothing exciting, sweet with a little hoppiness detected, some caramel. Ok.

Clear medium golden colour, tall frothy white head, receding quickly, minimal lacing. Aroma malts, grain, bread, hay. Mild taste, medium sweet and light bitter, malty, grainy, bread. Middle part quite bland, aftertaste sweet with slightly more bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, easy to drink but all-in-all rather non-descript.

Swing top bottle. Slight malt and chocolate aroma. Malty with just a touch of smoke and a hint of chocolate. Rather thin. Tasty Dunkel, could you more malt character and body to be a really great one. Many thanks to Dortmunder for this bottle.

Almost clear. begetable and yeast in the aroma. Mandarin and a touch of banana in the flavor is almost totally overshadowed by a strong yeast character, but the fruit returns in the aftertaste. Not well balanced and disappointing.
