Braukunst aus dem Herzen Bayerns. In unserer unternehmergeführten Brauerei weiß man Tradition und zeitgemäße Braukunst zu verbinden. Diese Verbindung gepaart mit besten Rohstoffen ergeben Bierspezialitäten, die Kenner aus der ganzen Region zu den Besten weit und breit zählen.

Seit dem Jahre 1890 wird in langer Familientradition durch uns, die Familie Hell, in Altötting gebraut. Und Qualität erwächst eben aus Tradition und Beständigkeit. So auch bei all unseren Bieren, die strikt nach dem Bayerischen Reinheitsgebot gebraut werden.

Nun schon in der 5. Generation wird beste heimische Bierqualität gebraut. Unser junger Braumeister „Georg der Fünfte“ schafft mit regionalem Gerstenmalz und wertvollem Hopfen aus der Hallertau beste bayerische Bierspezialitäten. Und wenn's der Qualität dient – dann kann der Aufwand nicht groß genug sein.

Swing top bottle. Golden color, no head, a slight haziness. Flowers and rancid butter in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with butter and flowery hops. Diacetyl ruins the aroma, but not the flavor, which is quite pleasant.

Swing top bottle. Dark brown color, no head. Malt, molasses and licorice in the aroma. malty sweet flavor, bready with roasted malt, apple syrup and licorice. Alcohol is fairly well hidden. The beer is not without complexity.

Swing top bottle. Blonde color, no head. Malty aroma with hints of butter and traubenzucker. Malty flavor with marzipan and hints of pear and flowers. Just a bit perfumed. Decent beer.

Swing top bottle. Pale blonde. Feinherb? It is malty and bready with some soft citrus and pineapple notes. Pineapple in the aroma. No specific hopbitterness. Easy drinker.

Bottle @ home. Clear golden color, medium to full sized white head that lasts for a decent while. Aoma and flavor are malts, sweetish grainy a bit, a slight hint of sugar, lightly some dusty maltiness. Average body and low to average carbonation. Quite alright. 6-4-5-3-10.

50cl swing top bottle. A dark orange brown beer with a huge most good lasting beige head. Aroma of caramelish dark malt and nuts. Taste of dark caramelish malt, hazelnuts, moderate spicy hops. Good!

Many thanks for this beer to Beerhunter111. Pours a dark ruby / brown color with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of malt and caramel with a fruity finish.

From the bottle. Pale gold with a fleeting, foamy white head. Aroma is yeasty white bread, apple, plastic. Taste is mildly bitter with a bit of a green apple undertone. Body is fairly light with a bit of water in the texture. Drinkable but not worth repeating.

500 ml bottle. Clear golden, small head. Grain, metal, citrus. Metallic bitterness, some malty sweetness. Well carbonated, medium bodied, unpleasant finish, very watery texture. Overall a bland and boring Märzen.

Meine 0,33 l-Bügelverschluss-Flasche war nur als "Hell-Bräu Pils" gekennzeichnet. Erst ein Blick auf die Adresse der Brauerei zeigte, dass es sich um ein Altöttinger Bier handelt. Es ist für ein Pils relativ mild und erinnert eher an ein norddeutsches Pils. Kein schlechtes Bier.
