Braukunst aus dem Herzen Bayerns. In unserer unternehmergeführten Brauerei weiß man Tradition und zeitgemäße Braukunst zu verbinden. Diese Verbindung gepaart mit besten Rohstoffen ergeben Bierspezialitäten, die Kenner aus der ganzen Region zu den Besten weit und breit zählen.

Seit dem Jahre 1890 wird in langer Familientradition durch uns, die Familie Hell, in Altötting gebraut. Und Qualität erwächst eben aus Tradition und Beständigkeit. So auch bei all unseren Bieren, die strikt nach dem Bayerischen Reinheitsgebot gebraut werden.

Nun schon in der 5. Generation wird beste heimische Bierqualität gebraut. Unser junger Braumeister „Georg der Fünfte“ schafft mit regionalem Gerstenmalz und wertvollem Hopfen aus der Hallertau beste bayerische Bierspezialitäten. Und wenn's der Qualität dient – dann kann der Aufwand nicht groß genug sein.

Clear pale golden colour, two finger frothy white head, mostly diminishing. Aroma malt, caramel, grain, light brown sugar. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, light caramel. Aftertaste sweetbitter, fruity touch, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, acceptable märzen.

0.5l flip-top bottle as a part of a bavarian beer set from marktkauf/edeka.
pours a hazy pale golden with a medium white head and a nice lacing. aroma of floral hops, citrus, grains. flavour of grass, green apples, bread. little bitterness, dry finish. this is a zwickl not a helles, but what the hell, it is still good.

03.02.2016/27.03.2019 -- 0.5l flip-top bottle as a part of bavarian beer set from marktkauf. pours a slightly hazy / clear pale golden with a small white head and some lacing. aroma of bread, grains, fruits, a hint of flowers / more sulphuric hops. flavour of grass, flowery esters, some bready malts. oily mouthfeel. a typical helles. mediocre though.

Pours pale gold with a thin but frothy head. Aroma is not strong and tough to place, but paper is not far off. Initially mildly sweet, with very little complexity. Well carbonated. An unpleasant, salty taste arises which drives this one firmly in the wrong direction. Mildly bitter finish. Kept looking at the bottle waiting for it to end. A bad Märzen.

pours a clear golden with a steady white head and some lacing. intense aroma of hay, malts, herbs and grass. flavour of grains, hay, lemonade. an ample amount of malts and hops. slightly bitter finish. a very good märzen.

Smooth-floral and slightly sweetish beginning. No grain but a nice floral fresh. Smooth and easy to drink, slightly sweetish malty body, floral but not too bitter aftertaste. Round, nice and easy to drink beer - but I wouldn’t call it a Pils - it is a nice Helles.

Würzig-malziger Antrunk. Nicht zu tief und kaum Herbe vorhanden. Dafür nicht zu süßliches Dunkel. Würzig mit leicht getreidigem Unterton, nicht zu röstmalzig aber schön karamellig-weich. Lecker und leicht.

Würzig-milder Antrunk. Frisch, süffig, nicht zu tief mit muffig-säuerlicher Herbe. Komische Würzigkeit im Nachgeschmack, mild, interessant mit herb-muffiger Note im Nachgeschmack und leicht süßlich-getreidigem Körper.

Bottle, 5.0%. Mild dusty aroma, bready, naturtrüby notes. Almost clear yellow colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is bready. Low bitterness. Tastes a bit old but is not past BB date.
