Bottle from Beyond Beer, Hamburg. Aroma is grassy hop, grainy malt, some floral notes, straw. Flavour is rather bitter with a dry end. Body is medium. Good Pils, though the bitterness ought to have been toned down a bit.

Can from De Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is softly hopped with grass, melon, citrus, pale malt. Flavour is moderate bitter, low on sweetness. Medium body. Fine, but no substitute for a great traditional Pils.

500ml bottle. Crystal clear, orange, golden colour with small, macropore, fading, white head. Grainy, strawy, pale malty and mildly funky, yeasty, minimally tangy aroma, hints of mustard seed, a touch of brine. Taste is mildly tart-ish, minimally grainy, pale malty with low residual sweetness, minimally woody and funky yeasty, subtly fruity, a touch of white grapes, oak.
Oily texture, smooth and soft, silky palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation.
Quite mild, cautious, a bit insipid - disappointing.
