50cl bottle from the Home Brew Shop, Aldershot. Hazy amber with a billowing white head; the aroma has yeast and some spice; there’s a definitely bonfire smokiness about the taste as well as the usual yeasty, wheaty, estery elements of a Hefeweizen, and some fresh citrus before a clean finish. Certainly different, and surprisingly drinkable.

Cask @ Bon Accord. Aroma is sour fruity, little toasted malts, caramel. Flavour is caramel and toasted malts, fruits, hint of coffee. Fairly bitter finish. I can see why this beer is liked, but it just doesnt do it for me.

Cask, handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, 17.01.11 Pours gold with some haze, white head. Some citrus on the nose, really good streaky lemony citrus bite in the mouth, touch drying, very good for the abv A7 A3 T7 P4 Ov15 3.6

Cask gravity at GBBF 2010. Gold, thin beige head. Diacetyl. Not good. Some fruit, but not much hop and mostly diacetyl. Just makes it undrinkable.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2010. Pale gold colour with thick white head. Decent blond beer with good lemony flavours. Easy drinking, refreshing, rather good I thought. Good bite to it.

50cl bottle from Wrights Lion Brewery Shop, Farnham. Very cloudy amber, despite a careful pour; yeasty aroma; grainy body with some acidic fruit; and a tart finish. Not exactly off, but not very pleasant.

Aroma is moderate malty, hay, toasted, moderate hoppy, citrus, lime, cat piss. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average duration, fresh. Half, from cask at Standing Order (JDW). Near-clear, amber body with a bubbly ring on the top. Plain malt-fruity aroma. Well blended flavour of sweet malts and tropical fruits. Slight indications of anise. Oily hops on the swallow. Nice (Edinburgh, 29.11.2010).
