Founded in 2000 as Oakleaf Brewery. Late in 2016 Oakleaf went into administration, a buy out package was arranged and the brewery was re-launched in 2017 as Fallen Acorn.

Closed April 2023 due to economic pressure.

500ml Bottle - Hazy golden with a foamy head. Banana, lemon and ham feature in the aroma. The taste is smoky and roasted with ham, banana and some malty notes detected. Interesting, refreshing and a good attempt at what’s an unusual style in the UK.

6th June 2010. RBESG 10 Grand Tasting at the Brasserie 4:20 Warehouse. On tap - cheers Alex! Haxy gold beer. Light dry palate, a little soft. Light floral hops over an even malt base. Pleasantly floral but a little over dry.

Cask at Wetherspoons, Victoria station, London last month. Copper coloured pour with a smallish head. Floral, fruity aroma. Tastes fruity, hoppy, floral, malty, bitter. Very moreish ale which I have had many times on cask.

Cask at RBESG Rome Grand Backroom Tasting, multiple glasses. Clear golden colour, soapy white head. Aroma is light malty, lemony. Flavour is light sweet, light malty, bit dusty, lemony, light papery bitter finish. Light bodied. Refreshing.

Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity, moderate hoppy, orange, overripped fruit hoppy - yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100601]

Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, moderate hoppy, light grapefruit - citrus - orange. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, a bit messy IMO. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. Cask @ RBESG, Rome. Thanks Alex and guys. Pours slight unclear golden with small bubbles on top. Nose is grassy and hoppy. Flavor is buiscuit, grass and hay. Low carbonation. Very dry and bitter flavor. Quaffable

Cask (Southampton Beer Festival 2010) - Gold/amber in colour. Grapefruit and spicy lemon aroma. Hoppy and refreshing taste with notes of grapefruit and a slightly spicy hint.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2010. Brown amber colour. Some amber malt on aroma, some biscuit. Not much hop, but fine. Lakcs a touch of condition, lasting dryness on finish.

cask at JDW ... winchester ...amber thin white head ... dull musty hop .. soft lemon ... dull pine hop ... thats a hop i recognise but can name ... not really me
